A few small suggestions

Suggestions for the Custom Clothing Main Pages

  1. Please paginate the existing recolors page (this one) and the retired items page (this one) - everything else in the new system is paginated and it makes it take less time to load as well as making page views cleaner. I love that everything is clear and easy to see, but the page stretch for my recolors is a lot - and I'm sure I'm not even the worst when it comes to that. My retired list is getting up there too, and I know I'm definitely not in the top number of retired items yet either haha. - Recolors pages paginations are done! Retired page(s) paginations are Being Worked on by [userid=668753]!
  2. From [userid=574776] - changing the "CW Shop" text to "Custom Wearable Shops" or "CW Shops" (and directing to the Feed page rather than our shop front). (goes along with suggestion 2 in the following section). - Done by [userid=668753]!

Suggestions for the Custom Wearables Link

  1. Cash Shop - Custom Wearables link: please make it link to the Home page. I get a ridiculous number of comments/sMails from folks who know me who are like "help, I lost a payment ping...where do I go???". Can we bookmark the page? Sure. Should we need to? Not really. The goal is to get more people actively interested in CWs, and linking to the primary page for them makes a lot more sense than linking them to the CW Shops page and then making them guess at how to get to the main page just to pay for a slot - I don't know anyone who looks at the "Create CW" button and thinks "Ah yes, this is gonna take me to the main bulk of the CW management screens!" - Done by [userid=668753]!
  2. If the concern is that people won't find the CW Feed through the "CW Shop" link on the Custom Wearables main interaction page, maybe just change the link destination and name of that to say CW Feed or CW Shops with a descriptor that it takes you to the main Feeds page rather than directly to your own shop. (goes along with suggestion 2 in the preceding section). - Done by [userid=668753]!

CW Feed Suggestions

  1. Inspired by [userid=599636]'s suggestion - it would be nice to have a Confirmation Pop-Up when unfollowing a shop on your management page. The button to visit shops is big, but right below it is the unfollow link and right below that are the enable/disable item alert links. On a computer it's pretty easy to hit the right link, but on tablets and smartphones, an accidental click loses you the shop you wanted to look at. - At this time, staff does not feel this is a necessary change because you can easily go refollow a shop. This suggestion will not be implemented as of now.
  2. Allow us to search for a user's shop (maybe include a little searchbar) to make it easier to find a specific place. Yes, I know the code for finding these, but it should be easier to see if someone has a shop than to type in the address every time. - Done by [userid=668753]!
  3. From [userid=574776] - changing the text from "Create CW" to "Your CW Hub". - Done by [userid=668753]!

Thanks for your patience while I worked on this.</p>
<p>I&;ve added pagination to both the recolors assignment page and the existing recolors page.</p>
<p>I&;ve added a quick lookup form on the browse/search CWs page that lets you quickly jump to a CW shop if you type in the username. It&;s up to you to spell the name correctly and all that. It&;s just meant as a shortcut tool.</p>
<p>Finally, I did look into paginating the Retirements page. However this one is trickier because it actually has TWO lists of retired items on the page: one list of manually retired, and one list of items that got sold out. I think the easiest solution would be to change this to be two separate pages, and each one can have pagination that way. That&;s gonna be a bit more work though.

- for anyone interested in tossing in any other suggestions to improve the CW system as a whole

I honestly agree with all of the above. It would make more sense for the Custom Wearables page to link to the home page because right now it gets confusing, especially for new users.

The overall revamp is amazing, and I really feel when we click the Custom Wearables link, THAT is what we should see. The amazing revamp.

I would very much like it made as easy as possible for newbie's and oldie's (like myself). I've been around since the start of subeta and I still get lost and confused!

I'd love for the sidebar that shows "shops you follow" to have a little link at the bottom that says "see all" so that I could see ALL of the shops I follow rather than a select few. As it is, I have to go to the "manage shops" link to see them all.

I'm not sure I understand - the Manage Shops is the See All...do you want the name changed? Or do you want to see the sidebar list expand downward? Because I don't think they'll do that (page stretch would be insane for some people). I'm just confused about what you want different on it so that if I add it to the top, I have the suggestion right.

Neither. I want a link at the bottom of the sidebar that takes me to a page that shows all of the shops I follow.

Okay so....that's what the "Click here to manage." link at the top of that sidebar does. It takes you to a page that has all of the shops you follow.

From there you can click into each shop, unfollow a shop, enable/disable item alerts.

I don't understand why you want a second/additional link that does the literal exact same thing.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something because that is what the manage link in that sidebar is. I click the link, it takes me to a separate page that shows me all of the shops I follow.

Because it's easy to accidentally delete or unfollow a shop if you're not being careful. If it's an idea that you don't feel comfortable recommending, that's fine. It's only a suggestion. I live in fear that I'll be sleepy and click the wrong button and unfollow a shop that I don't want to unfollow.

Ideally, I'd like a more expanded page that would show you which shops you follow, and two or three of the CWs displayed, sort of like the old CW shops you follow page. I could click on a link on my sidebar that said "see more", it would take me to that expanded page and then another link would say "manage shops" so you could unfollow or delete to your little heart's content.

Okay - so what you're really asking is that the Unfollow links be removed from that page then. I don't necessarily agree with that particular suggestion because a lot of people like not having to click into every shop they want to unfollow. But I can definitely suggest maybe adding a confirmation pop-up since that should help with any accidental clicks?

As for the old page that showed the newest few releases from shops you follow - if I recall correctly, people complained that they wanted to see newest from all shops which is why that was changed. I don't think Bug will recreate the old feed page + have the new feed page + have a shops management page.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I'd rather see the newest stuff from my followed shops instead of the newest from any shop.

I think a confirmation pop-up would help, yes.

A lot of people requested the change to seeing the newest overall I think (since they could just click on the shops they followed to see the newest stuff there). Idk -shrug- I never look at the page honestly haha.

But I did add in the suggestion for a confirmation pop-up - we have them all over the place so adding one more won't matter in terms of difficulty I hope, but will make all the difference to folks browsing who accidentally hit those links.

I miss being able to search for a specific user's CW shop and don't understand why the function was eliminated. As CW releasers come and go is there a method for finding a user shop that I may not currently be following? Am I overlooking something?

I don't find the "Shops You Follow * Click here to manage." to be an enhancement. Having to scroll through rows of users to find a shop is annoying.

I don't remember there being a way to search for a specific user's shop. I do know the web address though:

https://subeta.net/cw_shop.php/USERNAME

That is, sadly, how I've always had to find users' specific CW shops. I will add a suggestion that it would be nice to have a search function.

Thank you for web address. 😊

Maybe the old search function wasn't meant to work that way, but it did. I am much better at remembering who released something than I am at remembering item names. I used it a lot to find individual shops.

I like the idea of changing the text to avoid the confusion of where to pay for slots. simple but it works! how bout names like, 'Your CW Hub' & 'Custom Wearable Shops'.

I have been working on a way to search for a specific user's shop. I'm just not sure where/how to integrate it with the existing Browse/Search page. The existing search form is kind of a separate thing (since it's for searching items, not shops/users).

What might work is if there's two columns for searching? Like each one would be half the width. On the right would be the current Browse/Search CWs form. And on the right it can be search for shop by username?

Bless you for working on these things.

Very excited for pagination on those sections! Hopefully there's an easy way to add it in that doesn't mean too much work on your end.

I think a split would be fine - there's plenty of room even if it's cut in half I think.

It shouldn't be too bad - Just one of those things that's easy to mess up if you're not careful.

I will speak with and the rest of the team about the other changes, especially changing the navigation menu links as that's a bigger decision to make. I think everyone's brought up valid points here. We'll get back to you all after we've discussed it. :)
