I've been told it looks hipster-ish, but honestly its lest of a fashion disaster.

It's a cute avatar, I would suggestion sticking to one color theme, maybe keep the hat and have the other clothing similar colors to match the forest vibe going on in the background. I love the glasses!

I love the expression and the items you're choosing def go along with the 2-d/cartoon tone. Well done! That's something I could never pull off.

The acorn's realistic shading detracts a little from that, though--it makes your avi's shading look flat in comparison.

And the bright yellow jumps out at me--I'd go with all burn-your-eyes levels of brightness, or a more moderate color scheme, not both.
