When I saw the news about this Cash Shop set retiring, I ended up decided that I needed to snag a few of the items for a sort of "rain goddess" look, but I'm having a tad bit of trouble getting it perfect.

At current, my main dilemma is the "halo" item I want to use. I love both Silver Angel Doll and Rainyday Ethereal Headpiece, but they both have different pros and cons. I think the Angel Doll's halo looks better on this avatar because of the balance of colors, but I prefer the ethereal look of the rainyday headpiece over the angelic look of the halo.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work better? Any other floating headpieces that would work, or some outfit tweaks that might help?

I really like the way the first one looks.

Hello; uh I think maybe what might be causing it to be off is the layering; the mouth and and well over all lack of detail for the face. I tried making some adjustments and the few items I added are not expensive. The very back-back ground I think also was causing some disharmony. I also suggest bringing the skin tone up by one; it might help bring some balance.

And this is the skin tone upped by one shade; the change is subtle but she looks livelier. Outfit Not Found

And if you really prefer the leafy bits, I suggest going with silver. Outfit Not Found

Thank you for your input. I can see what you were going for, and it is kinda pretty. It's a lot more calm, a lot less nature-esque with these colors/items. I wouldn't use it as it is mostly because I'm not a particular fan of makeup, especially not that much of it, but the overall change does give me an idea or two.

As for the scar, that wasn't a layering error, it was just pretty much the only thing I could do. I want the scar on her face to be a deep one, one that actually affects her eye as well, because I myself am completely blind on one side and that kind of scar is about the only way to portray that. The only clear prosthetic eye that I know of is the wrong shape, and on the wrong side to boot.

That would have been useful to know. Though I find it easier to create HA's when I am not using them to reflect an aspect or aspects of myself. There are also items that give freckles that might help.

I had intended to put that in the main post, I don't recall if I chose to omit that intentionally or if I just forgot. I'm willing to guess the former. I never really know how much information is helpful and how much is just plain off-putting to people. I get complaints enough from at least one person I know in real life that I can tend to put too many barriers on things. Same person also tends to get really upset with me because of it.

That's actually fairly interesting to me, since pretty much everything I create is an intentional reflection of myself in one way or another. You know what though? More power to you.

If they're of interest to you, [item=Torn Blind Eye (Right) First Aid Page] and [item=Torn Blind Eye (Left) First Aid Page] do exist, and wouldn't add any red to the design. ...although I see now you've specified "prosthetic" eye, so you probably already do know about those, in which case the only thing I can say is maybe just use one of the [item=BrightEyes Blue Contact (Right)], but use a similar color to the "actual" eye, so it looks like they were using the closest available color? The only other "halo" type items I could find were the and , but they don't really fit the color palette. Oh! Actually, the might work!

I played around a bit and came up with a couple variations: Private OutfitPrivate Outfit
