I've seen that a lot of people have been returning to Subeta. I've also just come back from an extremely long hiatus (I think it's been 9 years) and rediscovered my old account. I kind of feel I'm a little too old for this and perhaps I should be doing other "age-appropriate" things but I've really enjoyed browsing through the site today so I believe I'm going to stick around. I used to roleplay here but I feel that nowadays, though I'd still enjoy it, it would be hard to keep up with. So for now, it would be nice to talk with you (whoever you are, out there) (:

Just to let you know most of the users here are older than 25. Many of the people I talk to in the shout box that are on all the time are like older than 40 and a few in their 50s. But seriously, welcome back! :) Nine years is a long time to catch up on; I'm recently back from a hiatus of just two or so years, and still floundering a bit to reorient myself just from that relatively short break. I'm finding that Masquerade is a good time for (re)connecting with people.

I understand what you mean. When I came back a couple months ago after several years of being inactive, I felt rather embarrassed to be playing on a virtual pet site again. (I'm older than 25, lol.) But I think Subeta is a place that you can never really outgrow--there's something for everyone to enjoy, no matter how old you are. And as mentioned, the community is very diverse, so you can feel right at home. 😊 Glad to hear you're enjoying your time back so far!

I totally agree! I've used to play on a couple other virtual (pet) sites as well, but I'm more or less not active on them anymore. (I just sign in from time to time to keep my accounts from being deleted/purged.) Sure, I liked some features of those sites, but it was so difficult to really get to know people and feel connected to the community; the forums there were always intimidating. But here, it's the complete opposite: people are so kind and helpful; no matter what, I always feel welcome and comfortable to mingle with everyone. 😊

I started playing again a month ago after 5 years and honestly, I feel that everything is much more fun now that I'm older (I was 15 when I first joined, now I'm 22, I think*)

And it's being great for my self-esteem and social anxiety issues 8'D (Even though I still rewrite everything a thousand times, It's surprising how easier it is to talk to people when typing rather than talking haha)

*I'm probably too young to be unsure of my own age, but I'm positive it's 22 LOL
