right now, the bugs created by using the time machine on their larvae are identified as r165 (genetech combo) which is both inaccurate (they are not combined in the lab) and very confusing to users who are not aware of this fact. i imagine they were moved to this rarity during efforts to thin out the r150 (special) category, and i'm not sure if there is a better rarity for them, but honestly i think the vagueness of 'special' is better than the literally false 'genetech combo'.
I agree with this. Frankenpie is a Game Prize r160 and it is something that you combine out of your Inventory. Neon PC is another combine out of your inventory thingy and it is still r150.
Definitely needs changing. I'd support changing the rarity, or making it so these are combined at Genetech.
The caterpillar minions that come from the Oofa Fruit (the ones that you use with the Time Machine to create the OP minions) are all listed as r160, so I think it makes sense for these to be changed from Genetech Combo to Game Prize as well.
[edit]Actually, it looks like one of the caterpillars is still listed as r150 (special)
This one should probably have its rarity changed to r160 as well.
Agreed they need to be changed.
Personally, I think they should be 150. I know staff want to minimize 150s, but for these it makes sense. They aren't really a game prize, even though their parts are. There are too few of them to make their own category.
Even better, though, I would suggest a "created" rarity. You could include the frankenpie, baked items, alchove items, computers, scrolls, Frankencluck, etc.

I like 's suggestion if it isn't too much trouble to insert a new category. This would require Ariel and Amber to move a buncha stuff over though.
I'd call it "mad science" or "unnatural abominations". I guess "created" will do.
In the meantime, the current rarities of these things needs to be regularized in some way.
Even if it's more work, I think that having a 'created' category of some sort be for the best. Rarities can be a good way to figure out where items come from and if it's inaccurate, like with these minions, then it gets confusing. Even Subetalodge has to use what rarities Staff assigns.
The item pages on SubetaLodge have been updated to reflect the actual method of getting them now, so at least the info there is no longer confusing! :) You can see on this one
