We've had a few memorial items (mostly musicians and actors) and I think that Dr. Stephen Hawking should have a memorial item as he is one of the greatest scientists of our time, and a great loss to the scientific community. It can be something to do with a black hole, maybe a play on his name as a 'black hole hawk', maybe something that looks like 'black hole radiation' which was named after him. Just something in memory of him. I mean, think of the sheer irony of his own death, he died on PI day; Pi, something he used extensively in his work. A MATH day. If that doesn't deserve something I dunno what will!

I hope you guys have something in mind already and I'm just being impatient.

To be honest when it comes to tributes... if one is made it's made, it really ends up being dependent on the artist who wants to make the tribute. Not everyone is going to get one sadly.

I know not every well-known person who dies gets a tribute item, but I am hoping there still might be one for Dr. Stephen Hawking (and that was a pretty ironic date really, being Pi day!)

I know that not everyone will get a tribute item, I'm not asking for that. But among the many we've had, I think Steven Hawking is pretty damn special. Sure he's not a musician or an actor, but he's damn well a big part of our society, on level with some of the greatest minds of this century. I personally think he did more for the world than Prince and Michael (I know some music lovers are going to come and try to crucify me, but whatever) and while there are a ton of scientists and researchers that should be tribute, atleast Hawking was a well known one for even those not that into science. Heck, look how many news outlets have reported his death and made memorial pieces about his life! I don't think it's too much to ask for him to have a tribute items for all the amazing things he did for Physics and our own perception on what Black Holes are and things in space!

IKR, it's like he PLANNED to die on that day. Heck, they could make a 'black hole pie' as a tribute item and I'd be happy!

I know how tribute items work here and that it's all up to the artists, which is reasonable and fine, and I don't want to seem too demanding. But I will say, I'm...surprised...really quite surprised...we didn't get one for Stephen Hawking. I really wanted something, and I, too, expected it to perhaps tie into Pi Day somehow. Black hole pie sounds great. =]

I'm assuming it's not going to happen at this point, but maybe I'm wrong...*I hope.

*(Sometimes being wrong is ok. XD)
