Didnt we use to have this prompt when we were missing items from our wardrobe? i say we bring it back
maybe also have the missing item row highlighted/a different colour when we add to our wearing list? its easier to visually find items we dont own that way

Unnecessary.
You can save it to Outfits without Wearing it Anyways now. If you hover over a piece it will tell you if you have it or not and have a shopping cart icon under it.
I wouldn't mind having the rows on the clothes you're wearing list have some sort of easy indicator that you don't own them. But yeah, the wearing anyway doesn't really make sense. You can save outfits with items you don't own, like mentioned, but to be able to actually wear the outfit on site it would make sense that you have to actually own the items.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the OP means "wear anyway" as in, "wear the outfit with only the items you own anyway, even though you are missing some items and they won't show up"
I've seen quite a few people make an outfit by accident in "all items" and make bug reports about the missing items not showing (that they didn't own in the first place).
If a simple warning came up to tell them that they're trying to wear items they don't own, maybe that would cut back on that. And then as this warning appears the missing items in the worn list would become highlighted. I think that's what they mean.
Yeah as mentioned. sometimes i would try on items i dont own & forget about it. then id click 'wear on site' & realise i dont have half of my clothes on my HA bc i dont have them in my wardrobe

Ah okay, that makes more sense! In that case yeah, I wouldn't mind having something like that to make it more clear that you don't own everything you're trying to wear.
I do see questions like that get posted a lot, so this would probably help.
An indicator of the ones not owned would be very nice, seeing as you have to keep the cursor over the item not worn to get the little shop prompt to pop up and sometimes, that's finicky as heck. It helps that I have a touchscreen laptop so I can bypass the finicky behavior relatively easy but not everyone does.

I won't lie this same thing has happened to me a few times. While I've not ever made a thread on it, because I usually realise why I'm missing them in the first place, I can see how this would be useful and beneficial to everyone so support from me!

I like what Luck said, a warning that you are about to wear an outfit you don't own.
I think in the past you couldn't wear the outfit unless you owned it all.
I agree I've seen quite a few questions about "missing" wardrobe items. I think, part of the problem was that the wardrobe opens with the all items NOT checked. said that was going to be fixed, but I'm not sure if it has or not.
I'd like the message to read more along the lines of a warning - even in this thread with people familiar with the wardrobe system, there was some confusion about what the suggestion meant.
Something like: unowned items will not show on avatar.

I've made HAs before, saved them, then wore them forgetting that I hadn't bought one of the items yet. Also, the shop search showing up for items you don't own sometimes breaks for me and shows up for all the items.
I would 100% love the item-bar to be highlighted a different color or have some sort of indicator if you don't own that item.
In the new W4 there are tags, so if you make an HA and Outfit it that has items in it you don't own you can label them as such.
It also defaults to "No" for Show All Items.
This Suggestion will be unnecesary.
If you have a GA and want to make the suggestion that unowned items that find their way onto your HA get marked somehow, nobody in the beta-thread has mentioned it yet.
I would appreciate this. I usually only run into it when there's a cache delay after I just bought a new item and threw it in my wardrobe (or bought a new item and forgot to throw it in my wardrobe) so it'd be nice to know that I have to wait if I want my HA to actually look right. And I've also had the in-wardrobe shop search button act up on me so I totally get why people might not even realize they were missing item(s)
