The Kissing Booth can be a better and more organize way to run a "kissing for presents" contest, those that we have now on the Survival Forum. So what exactly it's doing?
When you set up a kissing booth, you can make some rules like "giving X gift (random item from pool A or X csc/sp) to every 10th user, give (random item from pool B or X csc/sp) to every 50th user, give (best prize) to the user who kissed the most and many more that you may like.
then
you set up the item pools, as you like, from less valuable to the bigger and most valuable, or just random, how you like + you can also add an amount of CSC/sp to be used as presents.
and then it just working alone to get some data and give automatically.
At the end it can show some data like who kissed you the most, who kissed you the least and other cool thing that maybe interesting to know..
I see this feature to have many pros but 1 major con - it may kill the forum activity, because the only use of the forum will be to post the Kissing Booth personal link..
What do you think?
That sounds really, really complicated both to code and to use. It's a nice idea, sure, but I think it's not necessary and would consume too much time of the programmers.
It is cute, but I have to wonder how looking for data like that might do server performance. There's already a lot lag associated with holidays in the first place, and I think something like this would just make it a lot worse.
i totally understand if the site isn't interested in having this a feature, or if it's not worth the lag/effort, but i want to say regardless that this is a really good idea!
It's a cute idea but it sounds like a pretty major undertaking for something only a few players would really use and isn't necessary for the holiday.
As someone who rarely, if ever runs contest, but someone who often tries to participate I really like this concept. It means that all the tracking is automatic - its the one part of contests that I really hate and why I haven't participated in any contests the past few events.
Sadly, I doubt it would ever come to pass. Its already been said, but it sounds complicated to program, for too few people who would actually use it. And if many people did want to use the system, it would impact the whole point of these events - active "public" participation.
