i'm bad at sudoku to begin with so i went for a super easy board and used all my hints...... and it reveals that the board cant be won?

9 is one of the two numbers missing from the highlighted row, but the blank columns already have 9's in them.... is this supposed to happen or am i just wildly unlucky??

Hi !

It's been a long time since I've played the game, so I apologize if I am missing something or am misunderstanding.. The concern is the hint is telling you that a nine belongs in the highlighted square?

Just looking at it a bit, I think the 9 is supposed to be in the square that you've got highlighted and not in the square below it. Although I'm not sure why certain numbers are green like that, I don't recall seeing that before.

- The hint system for Subeku bases itself off of what you've already entered into the board (rather than the actual solution), so if you made a mistake before asking for a hint then the hints may be wrong. That can lead to situations like this, and the only way to fix it is to disregard all the hints you've been given.

[edit] Yeah, about 5 of those hints are incorrect, but the board is definitely solvable if you ignore them. :(

If you get stuck and need to use hints, you should first click the "check" button to see if there are any current errors. First fix, or erase any "red" results, then use the hints. You can use the check button as often as you need.

No wonder I can never win at this game. (maybe the front page needs to be updated?) I had no idea the hints weren't based on the solution. o.O
