I kind of forgot this page still existed because as far as I can tell, there isn't a link to it listed anywhere anymore. But you can still make and use the vouchers themselves, and it is kind of useful still for gifting sP to people. So I feel like this page should be mentioned and linked to somewhere, probably on the currency vault page or something.

[edit]Although the system itself could probably use a bit of a revamp, maybe. I'm not sure how frequently people use this or when the last time it was updated, but the daily limit for converting sP into vouchers is 50k which seems like... not much. People might use it more often for gifting if the limit was increased. And maybe if we had voucher items that could be worth more than just 10k.

I genuinely wonder how many people even use site vouchers. ._. The vouchers themselves just seem so obsolete and sad compared to things like tokens and CSC gift cards.

Wouldn't mind this getting updated, or even removed. But it seems like too much effort update a feature that slipped through the cracks and is barely even used, imo.

Maybe add a PIN and password-secured capped sP transfer option to the bank instead? Then again, that could give way to a whole new shitstorm involving quick'n'easy sP transfers if you got hacked, and there's also the potential of accidentally adding one too many zeroes (sending someone 5m instead of 500k).

Yeah IDK, especially since the page is basically hidden right now. I just thought I'd put the suggestion out there, but at the same time if this feature was just removed I don't think it would be too much of a loss either.

The page claims it's to make it easier to send sP to friends without using trades, but it's really not anymore since it hasn't been updated in so long. Having your friend set up a junk trade and offering sP on that is easier now since you can send more than just 50k at a time that way.

The benefit I could see from having higher value vouchers is if you want to gift sP to your friends anonymously or without having to ask them to set up trades or something first. It could be useful during Luminaire or for birthdays or random gifts, if you want to give something but don't have time to go through a whole wishlist of stuff.

I feel it only really comes in useful during Mysterious Melody, or during the other situations you've mentioned, but it seems like even that's a drastic, inefficient minority because of how small the voucher amounts currently are.

I'm not sure how high the voucher amounts should go, or how high the new cap should be, either. 10k is currently the biggest voucher you can get, but even 50k seems small. 500k for a max voucher, maybe? But do we then raise the limit further and add more vouchers if Subeta's economy goes down the crapper even more?

I like the idea of vouchers, but I don't see them being useful unless the amount is increased. Increasing the value has been asked before, but I don't remember if staff ever responded.

There have been people who do "welcome packages" for new users and putting even low value vouchers in there can be nice.

I object to and do not agree with the assertion that the toy Subetan economy is or will be going down the crapper. It is not true, and it doesn't really help this Suggestion to assert this.

The Gym Vending Machine got retired when the map updated and didn't include it. NPC Elwood's Oracle Token shop was also graphically omitted and got closed a few years later and now he delivers pizza. Right now the sP Voucher Exchange is among the last of Subeta's secret locations. Maybe it's fun that it's a secret and should be left that way?

It's true that I sometimes give currencies to off-holiday-joining newbies to get them used to the idea of all the currencies here. A 10K note is almost the smallest value thing I include. I think it could be fun to increase the maximum total daily amount and maximum note size.

Yes to everything in the first post (adding to currencies, upping the daily limit - or removing it alltogether, and upping the amounts of the vouchers).

I still use them now and then, mostly for gifting to newbies, either via the gift center for anonymous gifts, or via the trees during luminaire.

The more I think about this, the more I think it might be for the best to remove the voucher mechanic and have the voucher items added either to the Hustler's sP pool, or the trash can pool.

Several other much smaller petsites have a currency transfer system (Aywas, Acitius, Misticpets, Paladore), but they're tiny compared to Subeta. Aywas has on average ~120 people online, if that. The others have even less. Subeta has 800-1000 users online, more during holidays. With a small userbase, keeping an eye on shady transfers is much easier. And considering staff's workloads, I'd rather have programmer and admin efforts poured into something the site actually needs vs. something that's used by few, but is going to need limits, balancing and monitoring to make sure it doesn't get abused.

In the event that the economy changes drastically in either direction, the vouchers and their limits would have to be re-adjusted. Increased value vouchers and increased limits would also make it easy to bypass the limit for Sarah's quests. Considering staff didn't approve of this being done with forum group banks, I can't see them turning a blind eye to sP vouchers either.

We have the trades to transfer sP. I feel that's enough, but that's just my two cents. ._.

I was thinking about these the other day and had assumed they were discontinued. No use really, and if they were being used I feel like they'd be some sort of strain (from my limited knowledge of coding... bah).
