I selected the playful/whimsical strain 2 days ago, and I'm pretty sure I paid the 750K. I am still not infected. I go to the VIP page and it says "You've still got some time to wait, but you will receive an event once you've received your chosen virus!" It takes more than 2 days? I still haven't received an event. I tried clearing my browsers data. I'm on Chrome.

Same thing happened to me. Chose a strain 2 days ago and still have the same message.

I'm pretty sure it can take 3+ days for the infection to take if you don't get any biters to bite you on the forums. Whereas if you ask several people to bite you, it can take as little as 10-20 minutes if they're online.

Are you supposed to get the same virus a second time?

I have that strain as a skin so I will bite you until you're infected.

You can get the same virus if you sign up for it again or if you sign up for a random virus.
