I know about the original problem and requested the free option a second time on Sunday afternoon after your hex fix. checked and said I was signed up again and should progress normally, but so far nothing.

I was just looking for one of the new 2018 strains, so I have not been asking for bites (because, of course there were no mature biters to give those strains) but that has worked fine in previous years.

Am I doing something wrong - does the free (I'll take anything) option no longer work correctly?

I'm not desperate for a new skin but I admit I'm starting to feel a little left out since this is only a short event. I would really appreciate any assistance.

I think if you choose the free option, you have to get bitten because otherwise it doesn't know which one to give you. The only "random option" that you don't have to be bitten on is the 25k random new virus.

That being said, the new ones can bite now so I would post on the biting thread.

I thought that any virus would progress even without biting but just slower - has that changed now? I think I remember the free option working just fine in the past, but then it's been a whole year so I could certainly be wrong. :-)
