Ancient sidebar widget issue

I have no idea, if this is the right section of the bug forum.
Many years ago I mentioned this just as well as pretty much at the introduction of the sidebar widgets and was told, it would be addressed. Since the layout and everything is getting an overhaul, I thought I'd mention it again.
We have an "Active Pet" widget as well as a "Battle Pet" widget, but these will not distinguish. Your battle pet will always be the same as your main pet :-(. Other than the links at the bottom they are pretty redundant.
I am sorry if you were told that this would be changed, but since that was many years ago, I think we have to reconsider the issue from scratch. As of right now, what you describe seems to be the intended and established functionality of the battle pet widget rather than a bug. Would you like me to move this to the Suggestions forums, and there you can discuss any suggestions you have for evolving this widget.

I've never used these widgets, so I added them to check them out. Actually useful!
I know we aren't going to have widgets in the future, and there are no current plans to update the widgets as they are, but I guess for whatever replacement is going to happen in the future, I'll comment.
Since active pet/battle pet both produce the same pet, I figure it should just be consolidated.
From the battle pet widget: I'd get rid of the stats, but keep the time remaining to train. I'd keep the links to training and BC, but remove the armory and scrolls since those links are easy to access through the BC.
From the active pet widget: I'd keep the links to pet profile edit and TC.
I would add: Health: current/total Hunger: #/10 In Resort/Inn
Maybe add links to edit headshot and leash.

The idea of the pet and battle pet being different is very nice. It would be even nicer if there was just a box with current pets in training listed with links so it would take you to the page where their training completes so you can put them back in training and keep an eye on their progress.
