[Update]
Two days later and Lulu is finally back home! The enlarged chamber of her heart that they saw on the xray and the ultrasound seems to be of least concern, but something to be monitored. Her thickened bowl appears to be legions on her small intestines which are likely auto-immune (basically birdy IBS/IBD) or allergy related. The big issue is that her liver is enlarged and she has a genetic pre-disposition for fatty liver disease which can be fatal if not caught in time/corrected. Lutino Cockatiels with alot of yellow body feathers are at a higher risk.
She also wasn't eating while she was there and dropped almost 8 grams (which is a ton for a bird!) it turned out she didn't like the dishes they were using. I brought her dishes in this morning and she started pigging out. We got some medication for her liver and she'll be on that and some antibiotics for about a month.
We're so happy to have her home and hear her little beeps. The vet was so great, she knew what we had already spent and gave us a break on some of the bill with a "Client appreciation" discount for some of her days there. They really are awesome, I''d never take my beebs anywhere else.

The vet called us a about 10pm last night and said she wants to do an ultrasound on her heart and liver as she didn't like the xrays. She told me we could come get her the next day and bring her abck on Monday to have that done. I called this morning to see if she was ready but the vet has asked to keep her another night at about $70 and an ultrasound for less than $100. Her poop is pastey and her vent looks inflamed, but she is very alert and fighting them constantly so that's a good sign. We'll also have some of the culture results tomorrow and the barium swallow/standing xray images. Thanks to everyone who has helped out, donated, and signal boosted![/b]
So, our Cockatiel, Lulu, was straining to poop this morning so we took her to the vet as we were worried she might be passing an egg. It turned out she had some urates blocking her vent which was making it difficult to pass a poop. They put on some topical anesthetic and scrubbed her vet and she was able to pass a big poop.
We were pretty relieved but the vet asked if we still wanted to do an Xray to confirm there were no eggs and a culture to rule out any sort of bacterial problem. It was about $327.00 total with the exam fee but we decided that we would play it safe because bird are tough to diagnose and hide their illnesses. We got called back later and the Xrays are a little troubling. The vet can see a weird bubble in her intestinal tract which they are not sure if its a blockage or something else. There is also an unknown issue in her abdomen that needs to be sorted out.
The vet told us she recommended leaving her there over night so they can do a standing Xray and a barium swallow to check how her digestive system is working. With the overnight fee this was another $207.00 dollars, which we paid but we only have about $50 in our bank account until next paycheck. If she needs more care we're going to be in trouble SO
I'm going to try to take some commissions tonight! Ideally I want to push myself and try to take and (hopefully) complete 5 of them for $20 each. These are flat colour, fully body quad/monster/animal or furries. I'm trying to make these quick so probably no humans.

Can I get the csc slot? I'm happy to to do half csc half USD to help out. I definitely know how expensive vet bills are. I hope your precious Bab is going better ;;
Name: Waltz Refs: here Details: He is a Kelpie from myth. He is a deadly creature and they are known to allow people to mount them so that they can drown and devour them. Personality: Quiet/pensive, unpredictable.
Thanks!
Here are the lines, let me know what you think! No sketch because I just sort of started drawing all the fluff haha. Let me know if you'd like changes and I'll move on to colouring. (I realize I forgot the chip in his ear, that'll be in there next pass!)
Only if you really would like to do that! He is so pretty!

I have no problem with it. :) I've had to bring my dog in several times within the last year and damn is it expensive LOL but we must take care of our babs. <3
Thanks so much, I'm glad you like him! :>
Are you willing to create a character design from a species+color palette + sort of prompt? I'm willing to pay more in usd if you would like. If not, I understand! I hope your bird is able to have a speedy and safe recovery.
I might be down for something like that. Send me an smail with what you're thinking! And thanks! She's spending another night at the vet but we sent and visited her today and that was nice, she seemed in good spirits.

I'm sorry about your birdy ;-; Could I get the last cash slot?
I'd like my harvest neela done please. The ref I have is so unfinished so please feel free to add your own designs/flair to her. REF HERE It's a harvest neela, but she's becoming corrupted to the nightmare, her front end should have the typical harvest colors, plants and such. her back end (mostly tail and back feet) should be like fading into the nightmare colors and there should be a trail of dead rotting leaves/mushrooms/dead insects under her feet as she walks. along with the typical nightmare fog trailing her. Should look pained or sad. Ideally less horse like face, more slender and narrow. I'd be willing to pay more, just let me know ♥
You're on the list, we can discuss a little more once I've reached you on the list!
