So, I made this suggestion thread about Mazes and Mahars where I and other users point certain things that can be improved and I was oriented by the wonderful to make this thread about the actual errors in-game.

In the list below, I highlight what is wrong on the item (card) description, and exactly how it's broken.

How broken can it get?

Bountiful Banquet / Healing Potion
This has been tested and confirmed.

Increase the amount of HP recovered from healing cards by +2, but reduces your attack damage by -1. This Active Effect will remain in play for 5 turns. You may use one other card in addition to this one, with the exception of another Combo card.

(thanks for for pointing this out and testing!) "It does not give +2 healing bonus at all (the healing potion still only heals 5hp)." Then, this concludes that 1. Healing Potion isn't considered a healing card or 2. This card doesn't work.

Also, the effect displayed in the description works on the card Aphrodite, but isn't immediately applied to the Mahar. Some other cards, such as Healing Potion, heal the Mahar 5 HP immediately, but this isn't the case. The effect only works after the next Maze's turn.

Box of Sugary Sweetness
This has been tested and confirmed.

Your attacks now deal 2+ additional damage. Lasts 2 turns. You may use one other card in addition to this one, with the exception of another Combo card.

The +2 damage applies to the Flurry additional damage, so the card (when it deals additional damage), deals 4 damage, and the Box of Sugary Sweetness makes it deal +4 damage instead of only 2 (dealing 8 damage to the Padlock). i.e. The Flurry card counts as two attacks and thus is increased by +2 two times.

This, however, isn't true for Mystical Fury. Using it to deal damage to the Padlock, the roll was Even and the card dealt 8 damage to the Padlock, plus 2 damage from the card. That is, Mystic Fury's additional damage only counts as a single attack and is only increased by +2 once (dealing 10 damage to the Padlock).

Also, like Bountiful Banquet, this card doesn't work on the same turn it is played (as a Combo card), it only takes effect after the next Maze turn.

decay
This has been tested and confirmed. Places a Bleeding Ailment on both the Enchanted Padlock and its Active Guardian, dealing 2 damage to each at the end of the Maze player's turn. This Active Effect will remain in play for 3 turns.

The bleeding ailment is placed, but it doesn't do any damage. (this has been confirmed by ) Sometimes, the bleeding ailment goes away after the guardian is killed by the Mahar or its turn count ends, and it doesn't do any damage like stated above.

Explosive Lavana Fruit
This has been tested and confirmed.

Fire-based trap that deals 4 damage to the Mahar. The Mahar player will be unable to play any healing cards for 3 turns. If there is an Active Guardian, that Guardian will take 3 damage from Explosive Lavana Fruit. You may only have 2 Explosive Lavana Fruit cards in your deck.

"It deals damage but doesn't prevent me from healing for 3 turns." (thank you for for pointing this out!)

Overpower
This has been tested and confirmed.

Deals 4 damage to the Enchanted Padlock, ignoring any effect that might prevent or reduce damage

This one is a bit more complicated because it actually involves the in-game image. The item description doesn't portray what it's written on the game. Any effect that might reduce or prevent damage means that it should deal 4 damage to the Padlock, no matter what. However, it is affected by all kinds of damage-reducing effects, applied from the cards:

Bountiful Banquet Sudden Hailstorm Graveyard Mahar Enchantment Tainted Treats Suspicious Ice Sculpture

The damage is also redirected to the Guardian, when/if Meat Shield is in play.

Watcher
This has been tested and confirmed.

Any time a Guardian is killed by the Mahar while Watcher is in play, all Ailments currently applied to the Mahar are removed Watcher will remain in play for the duration of the game, or until destroyed.

The Watcher just doesn't work sometimes, actually most of the time. (I guess it just sits there, watching?) When the Guardian dies, the ailments remain there, untouched and working.

The description should be more specific. I thought it would be active until it was removed by the Mahar, i.e. by removing it to put another card in its place. (this is just personal interpretation though). However, when the Guardian dies or its turn count reaches zero, the Watcher card is also removed from the Mahar's active cards.

I guess it isn't supposed to work when the turn count reaches 0, but the Watcher card is also consumed when the Guardian's turn count ends. Not sure if it counts as "killing" the Guardian. The ailments aren't removed in either case.

Willing Sacrifice (Bloodred Lasirus / Graveyard Irion)
This one is pure speculation, since it's a Maze card, it cannot be tested by any means as a regular player.

A Guardian card of your choice is discarded from your hand and replaced with 2 cards from the top of your Deck. Effect: Bloodbath - If Bloodred Lasirus is discarded by Willing Sacrifice, place or refresh a Bleed Ailment on the Mahar for 2 turns. Effect: Dedication: If Graveyard Irion is used as the Willing Sacrifice, the Enchanted Padlock is healed 5hp

These effects don't seem to work, or the way the card works is too edgy to know which Guardian was discarded and if the effect was applied. In a single game, the Maze discarded 4 guardians (i.e., used Willing Sacrifice four times) and no effect was applied to the Mahar (none that I could observe). Ended the game with the Maze having 15 cards left and it didn't play Bloodred Lasirus.

The Decay card isn't doing any damage from bleeding.

That's probably why I didn't notice the damage haha thanks! I'll add it to both lists!

You're welcome

Do you remember if the Bountiful Banquet Mahar Card gives +2 heal for potions, or is it just for the Aphrodite Mahar Card? I think it wasn't working for the Healing Potion Mahar Card at some point?

I don't use Bountiful Banquet either because it reduces the Mahar's damage, so it's only a last-case-scenario for me. I'll check both cases in this game though and i'll let you know.

[edit] Overpower also doesn't work. Its description in-game says it should "overcome everything in its path" and "ignore any effect that might prevent or reduce damage" so it shouldn't be affected by Meat Shield, Enchantment, Sudden Hailstorm or Bountiful Banquet.

[edit] Yes, Decay doesn't work. Neither the Maze nor the Guardian suffered 2 damage at the end of the Maze turn, nor at the end of the Mahar turn.

I finally got around to test the Bountiful Banquet Mahar Card and Healing Potion Mahar Card next turn. It does not give +2 healing bonus at all (the healing potion still only heals 5hp).

Edit: Also, why do I get this when I try to apply another card with the Bountiful Banquet Mahar Card already activated? Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/app/current/games/mazes_mahars/class/cards/bountiful_banquet.php on line 18 Choose an effect to discard: (2 cards activated here)

I was doing just that - but the Maze has only 2 HP and I'm trying to make the Healing Potion or Aphrodite cards to be drawn but I can only do that by damaging the Padlock and if I do, it will die and I'll have to restart so I'm waiting on it to heal

Thanks for testing! I'm assuming that if the error happens once, it happens all the time so a single test is enough. I'll add this data to the OP.

Can you test if the Meat Shield card (you probably noticed that it lingers a bit before being discarded from Active Cards) redirects the damage dealt to the Padlock even after the Guardian has been killed, or if it's just a visual glitch? I already noticed this used to happen but pointed out and figured it was important to add it.

[edit] During one of the test runs I paid close attention to the effects of Box of Sugary Sweetness and noticed it sometimes increases damage dealt by 4 when cards deal additional damage (it deals +2 damage to the Card, and +2 to the additional damage) such as Flurry, but it doesn't work with Mystic Fury.

That is one really confusing card. I just played a game where the maze applied the Meat Shield card, a Reborn Illumis guardian, and then when the guardian's turns run out the Meat shield card disappeared with it too. I attacked next turn and the attack went as normal. So I guess "destroyed" also means if the guardian disappears? O_o

The Meat Shield glitch only seems to happen when the card is played and the Guardian has 1 turn left (i.e. it will land its final attack on the same turn the card is played, so the card would only have any effect on the next turn and on this next turn there is no guardian to receive the incoming damage)

In which exact condition did you finish the game? Do you remember by any means if you:

  • Had a lot more HP than the Padlock?
  • Reached 0 cards in your deck?
  • Took longer than 50-ish turns (well, if it took you about half an hour to finish the game, then it took you more than 50 turns) to kill the Padlock?

The amount of sP rewarded at the end sems to follow some of these conditions. After defeating the Padlock with full health, I got 11,500 sP. After almost dying, I got 16k. It's kinda unclear on how the game awards sP. It should have a chance to give items randomly? Do you think that the prizes should be adjusted? To more, or less?

Quote by me in another thread
</p>
<p>If you do the math, considering the book is a prize for reaching 100 wins, every win awards you aprox. 2.5m (considering you sell the book for 250m). And that&;s it, there&;s no actual reason to play the game other than for the achievements, like all other games.

This is considering that you sell the book for 250m, obviously. After you reach the achievement tier, there's no reason to actually play this, because I don't think there's fun to be taken from this. Every time I read Manwar is thinking I feel like I want to die a little bit more

On the other side, the maze cards that don't work right: Explosive Lavana Fruit

It deals damage but doesn't prevent me from healing for 3 turns.

You're welcome. I have a feeling there are more broken cards, but I've never really tracked it well enough to comment on more.

Confirmed that Decay does nothing, other than put a red dot on the Enchanted Padlock. A red dot which has never in my experience lasted the promised three turns. It's never done any damage to the Padlock or the Guardian, any time I've played it.
