right now im at a crossroads where i’m not sure i still need or want each name i have. i have more names than character ideas. i find myself being able to mold the ideas for 2 characters into something “just right” i just cant out my finger on it. if anyone has and opinions of my pets names id love to hear it and help anyone else who has a similar issue

I completely know what you mean. I have a few pets with great names and just OO I have no idea what to do with them. Between that and seriously annoyed at how broken my profiles are. :/

You have some awesome pet names too Kate. Kade , Mikey and Gil are awesome.

Sometimes I do a background search on name meanings to give a character a spark of life. Most times it works, sometimes it just doesn't. I've actually purged most of the real names and went with real words, not sure if it's going to work.. but it seems to be keeping me interested in them longer.

I only have a couple ? that i have no idea of what to do with. Metensomatosis is one of them -_- His appearance changed a few times since i got him, and the idea i had for him at first, vanished. At 23 pet I currently have, it even became overwhelming to work on them. I guess I just have to deal with one at a time. However I managed to connect most of them somehow, so I'm OK with how they turned out. [i have one profile to fix, if not more? i even forgot. I don't think I still want more pets at this point.

I often draw inspiration for my characters out of RPGs, books, Movies or Computer games and I often put several of my chars in one story which makes it a lot easier for me to have ideas for them cause I can tie them together.

I also tend only to get me names I can work with and don't snapp me names I know I will have ever an idea for even the name is great. SO Inever could work with names like Mary, Maria, Jim or Gil. That are great names but they would be a waste if I had them XD.

When I can't work with a name at all after some time it is sitting on my account I adopt it out to another person who will do the pet more justice cause I don't wanna hoard names I do nothing with, mainly because it bothers me if others do hoard only for hoarding.

You have some great names to but the only one I would have any ideas for asap is Mikey. Probably I can help you with mine as inspiration. Let me know if you want some help and feel free to message me =)

I think it's neat that you have so many author names! Kerouac, Angelou, Wilde... is Ellery from Ellery Queen?

Offhand, Osiria reminds me of the Egyptian god Osiris; Astrielle of stars (since aster is Greek for star), Sumaya of Sumeria. Marisola reminds me of something, but I can't quite figure out what...? I really like the name though! I think Soso is a really cute name too. If you changed the case to SoSo, I can think of a couple of concepts. Either it's a "meh" sort of pet who's bored with everything, or it's an experiment 4423, so it's actually two pets!

Several of the other names remind me of characters from various fandoms because they're similar, lol. Gil's the name of a character in a really obscure video game series I love :P

working on them one at a time seems a lot more manageable than what i'm trying, which is just starting at all of them waiting for an idea to come lmao

I live that, what a good and system!! i totally agree that even the best names have no potential. there are a few of mine that i.only have for their name, only created/adopted until i figure something out. i would love to talk about mikey with you!! those are beautiful parallels!!! i love them. so yeah osiria is a type of rose, astrielle will be about space i love my author pets, ellery isn't a reference though

Yeah, I understand that feeling.

I usually hold onto names that I just can't live without and work on ideas with my fiance (we tie all of our characters together). If the idea sticks, the pet gets stuck with that idea. If not, we move on. Although, I have a tendency of not putting any information on my pets' profiles until the idea is set in stone for us. Which is why there are so few things on most of my pets. I've recently gotten into fanpets so those are something else to worry about entirely.

I'm not that good at coming up with ideas for my pets. I've noticed most of the time when I'm working on TCs and the same items fit in most of them. I need to branch out with character designing.

I have a hard time with Deirdre. I had an idea but never got anywhere. So now she just sits there until something hits me.

Ah-Dol I've decided to "lighten" the character and put it on Eligos. Now I have no idea what I want to do with him. I want to keep him collecting the humanoid minions as I've spent so much on them.

A few of my other pets may not have anything on their profiles but I do have characters for them. It's just I'm not sure how to transfer my ideas onto here.

I don't really want more but somehow when I decided that I ended up with two more. lol The third one doesn't count, yet, as it's a zap and release pet.
