I'm getting a fatal error when I'm trying to change my pet's name

Message: Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function eregi() in /var/app/current/pet.php:681 Stack trace: {main} thrown in /var/app/current/pet.php on line 681

I'm getting a similar message when trying to change my username:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function eregi() in /var/app/current/include/code/user/changename.php:96 Stack trace: /var/app/current/preferences.php(60): require_once() {main} thrown in /var/app/current/include/code/user/changename.php on line 96

Same thing just happened to me. I was using a Loyalty Item to change my pets name. I got that same error. My totem is gone and my pet's name is the same. :/

I just tried again on two different pets and it's still not working. (Using csc)

I got a similar error when I went to adopt a new pet the other day. Luckily, trying again fixed it, but that was just for me.

Ugh, still can't change my pets name, tried many times :( Any word on this being fixed yet?

Oh boy :( There is a name I want that is clearing tomorrow and now I'm faced with making a new pet and paying 750 csc to change a name or trying to change a name for 500 csc and missing it with this error...

- no, I didn't lose the CSC, but it won't let me change the pet name no matter how many times I try :(

Sorry for being a bother, but I want to mention that an error still occurs when attempting to change my username. I thought it might be related to the issue with changing a pet's name (which is why I posted in this thread), but the error is still occurring for changing usernames despite the fix for changing pet names. 😥

Again, sorry for bothering you! I understand these issues related to the move to PHP7 are steadily being worked on and will take time to resolve. But I wanted to mention it just in case it wasn't noticed or seemed to be fixed.

I'm also receiving this error when trying to adopt a new Zentu.
