I've seen a lot of different ways subetans have displayed their pets on their profile through more custom methods than the unaltered pets widget-section-thing; and I'm curious about the whats and whys for their choices, so I'm taking a survey. xD I tried to think of some good detail-possible questions, but feel free whether to answer or not answer them, and you can include as much or as little detail as you want; I also like and don't mind a good "story" if you have and would like to share one about it 😛 I'm probably going to go into backstory mode for my stuff either way whether I mean to or not 😭 How are your pets displayed on your profile? Do you use the Pets section or a Blank Section? Do you use custom pet images/buttons? Do you sort your pets in any way? Are you satisfied with the design? Is this too many questions? x_x

My personal pet display preference involves being able to see both the pet images and names, but since I have more pets than I used to, showing each and every headshot would stretch the page past prettiness. 😢 So I ended up building a sort of prototype display widget to try to keep the images without the pillar of pet pics. 😆 I dub it a prototype since I haven't settled on a "look" for it, haven't fully conquered the table element that contains the pets(What in the world is the deal with that spaced-out first pet column), and then there's another kink or two that I need to work out. I can't tell if it's the weird code or my only-sorta-decent level of CSS knowledge giving me the most trouble <_<

all my pets' stories (except for jackdaw and kirusu) take place in the same world but at different points in time so i sort them based on that |D but also they aren't really in proper chronological order or anything bc their stories tend to happen at kinda the same time?? so i organise them based on subplots, like so, blanchot, nivo and rizon's stories all deal with politics so it makes sense for them to be grouped together. and then alena, kafka and ruu have an emphasis on crime so those are connected too~ idk if i'm even making sense lmao sorry

and they all have buttons!! tho tbh i started making them in 2015 (you can kinda tell which ones still have 2015 art lol) and got p bored of all those eyes ; D ; so idk i might find something else eventually haha

I think I get it. They're organized by world, then somewhat by time period(I'm blanking on a better word for it x_x), and from there they're individually arranged by subplot? I think? xD I hope I got that right I like the style of your buttons, but I can understand getting tired of a design; it's usually difficult finding a theme you can stick with longterm.. 😒 I still haven't decided on mine yet, knowing there's an infinite number of ways to make a theme look 😭 (As an aside, looking at the non-art buttons in the tiled groups, the name text seems to be a little off-center on them, and I'm not sure if it's just my browser or if it's the intended design, and want to make sure. :o I hope it's alright to inquire. 😛)

and yeah ;; at one point i thought about doing pixel sprites for everyone but that would probably take me 80 years so uh, not going that route lol

I just use the default pet-widget-thing and use CSS to style it. But I only have 5 right now, so... xD

Ooh, I like your idea of overlaying their names on top of their pictures with CSS in the widget :o As a personal opinion, I think having just the few pets to display with their larger headshots complements your profile's current full-sized design nicely (for the time being at least, in case you plan on changing it later xD)

5 pets.. you have a much better handle on your pet family size than I do 😭

I'm still trying to figure out what I'll do for profiles with more pets (I want to make my current profile into a premade), so suggestions are welcome!

lol, I don't have time for more pets right now. I want to complete my current ones before taking on any new ones xD And my current ones need everything done still, so it might be a couple of years before I'll be expanding.
