MORE LIMITS. NO MORE P. NO P ALLOWED. NO MORE THAN ONE PET PER USER. NO MORE BUG RELATED PETS. No seriously, I'd love it if things were updated a bit to:

Allow apostrophes and other such things.
Up the digit count to 35.

Anybody agree ? Disagree ? Any behind-the-scenes reasons why we cannot do things like this ? Any other possible updates ?

This isn't happening because of the sheer amount of code we'd have to update to make sure it's safe. Especially for apostrophes, which are a bit tricky to handle and we'd have a LOT of code to update to correctly handle them. (Sorry!)

I'm afraid I have to shoot this down too because of similar code-related concerns. This one is more feasible than allowing punctuation/special characters, but could still potentially create issues for us.

In general, I don't see changing pet name rules as necessary right now, considering the work it would require versus the risks/problems it could cause.

I dream to be able to use characters in pet names like Ç, à, á, â, ã, ä... you get the idea. Also special characters but I guess that would screw up the code amirite? sobs
