[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/G1Zlaae.png[/img]Hi everyone! This week I have a fun writing challenge for you. The idea is to write a story using five words only. "I think therefore I am," by Rene Descartes fits the bill.

Some rules for this challenge: 1.) Your original story should use five (5) words ONLY. No more, no less! 2.) Keep it PG-13 please! 3.) Please post your piece of writing here with your name and house. 4.) Bonus points may be awarded to particularly clever/creative entries.

Each member may submit up to two pieces of writing, and each piece of writing to successfully adhere to the rules will receive 5 points for a combined total of 10 House Points!

This challenge will end Sunday, January 14th at 11:59PM!

Killing the dragon was accidental. (there's a slightly longer one that works better, but close enough)

Niamh spent a white staring at the parchment. Only five words? This was going to be more challenging than she thought! Picking up her quill, she wrote her first story:

Lunar eclipses cause werewolf panic After hearing that Hogwarts had a werewolf student, she'd been fascinated to read more about them, but still hadn't found any reference to how werewolves are affected by a Lunar Eclipse

She was quite happy with that one, but she wanted to write a second as well.... only trouble was, she was lacking inspiration. At that thought, she realised that could be a story in itself:

In darkness, inspiration needs light She was sure that she'd heard something similar before, attributed to a past Professor, but she hoped what she'd written would be original enough.

Upon hearing the assignment Aria's eyes widened in shock. She'd never heard of writing a real story in only five words. She began to worry over trying to come up with something in only 5 words that created a story or image. After much consternation she finally came up with a couple short story ideas. Taking her quill up, she dipped it into the ink and wrote carefully on her parchment. Story 1 Fleeing incensed scientist, griffin freed. Story 2 Logic consumes the wise mind.

Dressed snake danced in class.

Dragons sing over the clouds.

Jona wracked his brain for something to write. What kind of assignment is this?? He ended up with the following as his two final entries:

Unconditional love exists - in dogs.

She sighed as she looked at her paper. "Better than nothing" she whispered to herself.
