It's not wrong, however you don't have your maximum AP due to stat boosters. You only gain AP after reading a book for your 16th intelligence point. AP is retroactively gained, so if your 1600th intelligence point is gained from reading a book, it will change to 100 AP.

If you're over the next AP due to boosters, it no longer needs to be the 16th point in order to gain the "missed" APs by reading a book. They will be given at any time now.
