I recently got a 20% discount card and I think it shows an incorrect total of sP saved on the User Dashboard page.
I have been following it closely and it has gone up an alarming amount in the past few days. It's now at 21m but a week or two ago I was at 2.3m.
I think it's somehow calculating stuff I buy from the Millionaire Centre (even though no sP is actually saved) or stuff I buy from usershops.
There is no way i've saved that much sP simply from restocking..

By chance have you been participating in the free shop? I noticed today when I got an item I got this message; Your main shop discount buff gave you 15% (450,000 sP) off the main price! So maybe free shop items are counting? (which may also still be a bug =P)
HMM. Yes I have... but I don't get that kind of message, my page just says the value of the item is 0sp.

I think it only gives an amount if the item is available for a sP price in a main shop. So for example if you've gotten any MC or SBQ items, it may have discounted. (The item I got the message on was an MC item priced at 3mil)
Hmm I think you're right. I suspect other shops might be contributing to the total sP saved because saving 20m when I only have a 20% discount card still sounds like heaps.

So I bought something yesterday from the millionaire center, and my total saved amount still hasn't gone up.
So I'm thinking this probably was the free shop -- it might not even be every item in there, just ones that originated from certain shops.
Not sure if a lot can be done, but I check with a programmer.
I think it was probably the Free Shop.. but I don't know how I could have saved 21m so quickly. I doubt anything in the Free Shop was at a price so high that I would save like hundreds of thousands of sP at a time (considering that my card is a 20% one). I reckon it was something else in addition to the Free Shop (unsure what though!).
But yeah, Free Shop is probably something that is incorrectly calculated into the total saved.

If you got any expensive items from the Free Shop that have official sP prices from other shops (like the Millionaire Center or Antique Shop), it may have been counting things like that in the total.

Oh, wow. I just noticed that this hit me too, which is unfortunate because I've been watching for when I hit enough sP saved to make back what I paid for the card (but clearly not very closely)
I just got mine today and it says You have saved 111,992,413 sP using your discount card. So there goes the free shop theory! ()

I am pretty sure this is mostly due to the Free Shop. I've pushed a fix that makes it not count items from the Free Shop. That won't really be relevant again until December, but the fix is done at least for then.
Since you only had the card for one day, do you remember what purchases you made to bring it to that total? If it started out at a high total, it's possible you had a discount card at some point in the past, and it kept that total when you got this one.

I have no idea...I am a casual restocker. But I do know that I only have had the one card ever. I was never rich enough to get a card before xD But I will say that since I got it and posted that total, I only have gone up to You have saved 112,161,223 sP using your discount card. That shows how little I have been able to use it the past month xD
[edit] That being said, if you can reset it, then I would love that. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the former Destiny had one? But I have had this name for a long time....like close to ten years I think.
