as someone with 54 pets, i spend a fair amount scrolling to the bottom of my list of options on items in my inventory (i know, the HORROR 😅 ). every now and then i get to thinking, wouldn't it be nice to be able to just exclude the pets this won't involve? clicking on a book, rather than listing all 54 of my pets, would only show the five pets i'm currently reading to. same for food listing just my chosen foodie. and of course the list goes on with whatever you're able to do to/with your pet.

i imagine it being a sub category on the pets page, where all the pets organisation goes already, and you'd tick off which pet is being fed, read to, having stat boosters given to, etc. maybe even marking which pets are being actively trained to slim down the training page as well.

(maybe also don't list pets as an option for a minion when they already have one; i find it'd be silly to include the minion part in the suggested list as that kind of comes and goes, and would be a hassle to go and tick "on" just to add a minion...)

I could see this being very complicated if there different lists for each kind of item (food, books, etc). Maybe just somewhere beside each pet on the pet page to exclude a pet from all usable items? But then that's not going to work for someone who only does some things on some pets and other things on other pets.

Do you have your pets arranged so that the ones you're using items on are at the top of the list?

yes, i do have them arranged, particularly for training reasons. there's just. well, a lot.

i don't think of it as, like, different sets of lists, but one big page with columns (like quick stock) where one ticks off which actions go for which pet(s).

i guess maybe also i just like the idea of removing pets i'm not working on from the item list so i don't have to crawl through 50+ pets to free a fairy or carve a pumpkin or whatever it is for the season in question.

I could see that working! I don't have as many pets as you but I sure would find that convenient :D

The item popup box is being revamped as we type. There has been talk of making lists of pets for each activity in the same manner as scroll sets and armory sets, so the OP idea is being considered.

I'm looking forward to that item popup being revamped. I like the idea of excluding pets, even though I only have 11 pets. I can't imagine dealing with 53.

in the form of "disable showing for ___ items" on the Pet page individual dropdowns or a quickstock feature for this.

As someone with 49 pets, heck yeah, this sounds nice! That training page especially is a huge pain in the butt, especially on my phone.
