Has anyone else had the majority of their luminaire presents fail to appear in their inventory?

When I visited the gifts page shortly after midnight I saw well over 50 items from almost a dozen different users. I wish now I'd decided to count them out or make a list of some kind. Only 23 of the items, seemingly at random, appeared in my inventory. The whole list was on the page, but over half of them just weren't showing up in the inventory.

I didn't stress it at the time- I assumed they would just take a while to trickle in since the load on the site was probably serious. But looking at the page now, the undelivered items have even vanished from the list of gifts, like they were never there! Some of them were valuable items from dear friends of mine that I'd already thanked them for, so I know it wasn't a mistake for them to appear in the first place. The site just seems to have eaten them. Even now I would wait and see but I don't know if some cache is going to clear and erase whatever chance there is to fix it...

Does anyone know what happened here, or if this can be undone? One of the lost items was even a gold account medal. :(

This same thing happened to me, I lost quite a few (272) items and one of the lost items was a February 2007 Donation Present!

Fortunately took screenshots of the gift list to help me thank people, so maybe some are recoverable. But I imagine most people didn't do that!

If you check out the comments on the news post, you'll see that for some reason gifts from 2016 were showing up along with your 2017 gifts. You should have received them last year. c:

Oh that makes sense, I wondered why quite a few seemed familiar!

I actually suspected that when the items disappeared! But I thought to myself "then why would my friend say you're welcome, if I thanked them for a gift they didn't give me?"

...I should've taken into account how socially uncomfortable my friends are.
