Forgive me if this has already been suggested, I only did a quick skim x:
When you set your pet as "spotlight ready," the link to nominate your pet is hidden from you until the pet has been nominated. If you need to change its' positioning for whatever reason, you need to open the profile in a separate browser or an incognito window. This is... inconvenient.
It would be better if the link was always visible to the owner when the pet's set as "finished," and just threw an error when the owner clicked on it, like how you can't like your own avatar or egg your own house or so on. "You can't nominate your own pet, don't be silly!"
Full support for this.
It's really annoying to have to log out / view the profile in a different browser / bug a friend in order to have an idea of how to position it! :I There's also the fact that I often help code profiles for others, which makes this a bit more of a nuisance when trying to get everything just right.
We can already mess about with trying to give ourselves gifts/etc, so hopefully it's not too tough to have the spotlight link show up for the owner, but just not work for the owner.
edit: bluhhhh i hate subeta's smilies, just let me make a disgruntled little text face ok edit2: okay better now
I check my pet profiles in a couple of different browsers, so I position the spotlight link at the same time as doing that. But since profiles can look a little different in another browser, I would like to be able to check in the one I mainly use without having to logout to see if the link is lined up fine there too.
Just have the link throw up an error for the owner if they click on it. There's probably an existing error page for it already, for if someone tried to get the link to nominate their own pet.
Definitely support - I usually check it in incognito mode, but it would be so much easier if it just showed up for the owner as well!
