I'm curious what other people's opinions on Fire Emblem Warriors is? I've watched a walkthrough on youtube and it looks like a game I'd like to get if I had a switch. At the same time though I'm really frustrated by how over saturated it is with characters from the newest games, there was no need for 17 characters (not counting DLC) from Fates and Awakening to be in it. Where are the characters from games like Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn, Sacred Stones? Where are more characters from the Blazing Blade?

Personally I think they should have just put in the main characters from most of the games and then had side characters as DLC.

The game plays really well, but that's not much of a surprise since it IS a Warriors game. I didn't mind the number of newer characters, but then, I started into the series with Awakening-- as did a lot of fans, particularly North American ones.

Which is, I think, a big part of the reason they did what they did. The age of the series and the fact that it wasn't widely distributed in the North American market until the 3DS era just makes the Awakening and Fates characters more marketable. I wish there had been a little more variety, like having Eliwood and Hector alongside Lyn, having Roy and Ike there-- they are part of the Smash roster, after all, it's not like they're totally obscure-- and so on and so forth, but even with the limited character choice, I'm overall happy with the game.

(I might be a little biased, though, because my favorite character who like 5 people total actually like is in the game even though he's not playable...)
