So, as a person who has a ton of stuff on their wishlist, there are some things I'm simply not looking to buy in some of my categories, but I don't want to delete the items as I do still want them, they're just not relevant at this time. So, I would like the ability to toggle on and off the blue border of individual wishlist categories.
Yes or no?
I'm not opposed to such a feature, but I am wondering if it is feasible to differentiate by a user's individual categories. But, yeah... I think the opinion of someone familiar with the site's systems is needed here. Maybe I'm just being daft, but I see before me the problem of checking each individual user's uniquely named category for whether it is ticked for wishlist border or not. Though maybe that isn't an issue with enough resources. Maybe checking for whether a wishlisted item should be bordered is less intensive than looking through the wishlist categories? I suppose it would come down to that.
I'm thinking, what about a function to 'save' or create lists of items that are not wishlist? Making a separate list that has a different border color shouldn't be a problem. Or more in line with your suggestion, a list that lets you add items but does not show a border when shop searching and such. I think that is a function that wouldn't be out of place for the site to provide.
(PS. I initially thought of SubetaLodge's custom checklists when I saw this suggestion. Being a feature I haven't used personally, I just looked at it and while it seems expansive it DOES limit you somewhat by item category, keyword, etc. So a feature on Subeta to make your own completely independent item list would be desirable, as SL's checklists don't fully feature that functionality).
I would love an item list that isn't part of the wishlist. I would be happy even if it used the same border. I just want some way to list items I don't particularly want to be gifted, but I do want to notice them if they show up in my inventory.
Map pieces, subeautique invites, etc, often show up in my inventory without me noticing the event. I like them to be highlighted so I spot them, but I don't want them on my wishlist.
