The potions aren't the ones that you use the change your pet's colors and stuff.

It refers to these: + other elements

There are also Pylonics that you can equip to your pet to use in battle. These and the potions are a bit different though, because you have to attach them to a specific pet, they don't go in your armory with your other weapons. You can remove them from the pet later though, if you choose.

I think may be planning on updating how the potions and stuff work in a future battle update, because it is a bit confusing now for new battlers trying to figure it out.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can't equip or take HP potions into battle at all. It's weird and counter intuitive since that's kind of a video game staple.

- HP potions on Subeta have always been intended to use when your pet is not in an active battle. There are other items depending on your pet's tier that can be used to heal during battle.

- I don't know about video game battling, but the way HP potions work seems to me to match Dungeons and Dragons pretty well.

One of the few healing potions that you can currently bring into battle either by equipping them directly to a pet or adding them to their armory are: heals 1000HP, equipped directly to a specific pet and will be found under the 'Potion' section on the fight page. Limited one equipped at a time. Single use.

heals 1000HP, can be added to armory then to a specific set (aka: takes up one weapon slot). Limited one equipped at a time. Single use.

heals 100HP, equipped directly to a specific pet and will be found under the 'Potion' section on the fight page. Limited one equipped at a time. Single use.

heals 15 HP, equipped directly to a specific pet and will be found under the 'Potion' section on the fight page. Limited one equipped at a time. Single use.

They're all either expensive or a hassle to replace. As your pet grows, you'll find better use out of healing weapons that either offer a fixed HP heal or a percentage heal (which scales with your pet's health point until it reaches the cap, which depends on individual weapons). The HP potions for sale at the Apothecary though, are not really worth the sP. You can always heal for cheaper at the Healer until your pet reaches a certain HP, then most battlers heal (if their pet exits a battle with some HP left) by hitting a much weaker opponent (such as Buttwing) paired with a 100% healing item, such as Phoenix Quill, to save healing cost.
