Gaming is an expensive hobby! Between my husband and I, we have like...a lot of gaming consoles. Seriously. Regardless if it's your main console or not, I'm curious to hear what everyone owns! And to see if anyone is as crazy as we are. List all of your gaming consoles and/or handhelds!
Together, we own... -Nintendo Gamecube -Nintendo Wii U -Nintendo Switch -Nintendo 3DS -Nintendo DS (He has the original silver one, I have the electric blue) -Xbox 360 (Arcade, Slim, & Elite. Husband owned even more at the time due to the Red Ring). -Xbox One (We seriously have 3 of these, I'm not even kidding) -Xbox One S (was my husband's, but now I use it since he upgraded) -Xbox One X (he really wanted the Scorpio since he has a 4K TV) -PS3 -PS4 (we wanted it for the PS exclusives) -Gaming computer -Gaming laptop (which my husband built for when he has to travel for work...which he rarely takes with him lol)
I used to own the Sega Genesis, N64, and original Wii as well. The first two consoles are at my grandma's now and I sold my Wii to my cousin.
We have been gaming ever since we were kids and happened to hoard our consoles over the years. So our collections look even more ridiculous now that they're combined lol. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I forgot a console.
So what all do you guys own?? I'm trying not to think about the amount of money I have spent on this hobby over the years hahaha.
A mere PS3 PS2 slim PSone w/LCD screen Xbox Wii GameCube N64 DSiXL Original DS GBA GBAsp PSP-1000 x2 PSP-3000
In all examples I play a very limited number of games, all my Nintendo portables are limited to Tetris.
My gamer friend, however has every console ever manufactured. And he works at a college student union, so he has access to current systems. Almost all my collection came about his involvement. I wonder what I'd have to do for a Dreamcast...
Lesse here, in a somewhat orderly fashion
PS2 x2 (1 european, 1 american because so many games I wanted did not make it to a European release) PS3 PS4 PSP PS vita Nintendo gamecube Nintendo Wii Nintendo Switch Nintendo DS Nintendo DS lite Nintendo 3DS x2 Nintendo 3DS L NEW Nintendo 3DS L Gaming desktop PC x2 (mine & my SO's)
I technically also have a PS1, a N64, A Gameboy color and a "gaming" laptop (Alienware, from 2012 or something) but they are currently packed away somewhere after moving, and my mum borrowed my laptop to play facebook games.
In the order:
PS2 (a European one) PS3 (well, actually that one belongs to my father and brother)
Gameboy Color Gameboy Advance SP Nintendo DS lite Nintendo DSi Nintendo 3DS
My Pokemon games are taking first place when it comes to the numbers of games I own for these consoles. Every single one of my 3DS games is a Pokemon one. Second place goes to Yu-Gi-Oh! and there is no real third place :D
Dang, I've only got a normal DS and a 3DS. :-D Well, I'm not allowed to use it though my brother owns a PS2, PS3 and a PS4 and we share a Wii (which we never use).
Oh, and Pokémon is my main focus too, haha.
falling down this mountain falling down again - boom boom heartbeats still beating in the end - i'm choking but that's just what they wanted

I'm a nintedo junkie for the most part. So far I have...
Some of my favorite games overall has been Pokemon and Harvest Moon (+ many more)!

I have an XBox One & 360, and a Nintendo 3DS, kind of paltry in comparison haha! I've been kind of debating on getting the 3DS XL, but with Nintendo shifting all their focus to the Switch, I don't know if it'll be worth it in the long run... maybe if I can find one for cheap.
I enjoy the larger screen on the XL, but at the same time, my previous handheld was one of the original DS's so I was due for an upgrade. But admittedly, I don't play handhelds very much. I still have games from two years ago I haven't even touched yet because I simply prefer console.
I do understand your concern though. I personally like my Switch more than my 3DS. Even though I primarily play my Switch as a console through the TV, I have also used it as a handheld and like it as well. The Switch is just a lot newer compared to the 3DS, but of course it's more expensive too. Though I'm honestly surprised my red 3DS XL is still the same price currently as when I bought it early '15. Plus the 3DS XL didn't come with a charger sooo you'd have to buy one separately, if you need one.
Gaming has always been where most of my money has gone (with books being a close second). Currently I have:
I never really had any interest in the PSP or Vita, although there are a few exclusives floating around I might consider getting them for, if I could find a used handheld for a good price...
I probably play my 3DS more than anything else. I know I've devoted more than 1200 hours to the three 3DS Fire Emblems alone, not to mention Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and the various Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games I play, which all have tons of hours dumped into them as well. I'm blind as a bat, so console gaming is difficult because of my television setup, unless the game is virtually text free or I want to spend hours straining my eyes at the screen...
Something me and my friend do is watch for new consoles and portables to be "previously owned". He won the last round finding a Switch.
I have a PS4 I gave away my 3DS to my cousin
Oh I guess I have a PS3 but it's old and broken.
Our main console is the PS4, which is my boyfriend's, and then I have a PS3, PS2 and a Gamecube. (My parents have a Wii which I guess counts as I'm the one who plays on it the most haha ;) ) I really love the games for the PS2 and the Gamecube, those were the days <3 And the Gamecube controller is probably my favorite out of all the consoles, it just fits perfectly in your hand ^^
I do play some games on my Macbook, but it doesn't like too powerful games, it gets overheated. Games such as Hearthstone and Elder Scrolls Legends is pretty much all it can cope with. :P
I mostly play on my laptop (LoL, Witcher etc.) and my Nintendo 3DS new (Fantasy Life, Zelda games, Animal Crossing). I own PSP, PS2, PS3, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii (worst buy ever, since in my country it was almost impossible to buy any game for it). After I get a new laptop I guess it will be time to get ps4 and nintendo switch <3
I have:
Gamecube Wii Wii U Switch
Nintendo DS Lite (in pink) Nintendo 2DS
In the past I've also owned (or shared with my siblings): Commodore 64 (yeah I'm old) NES SNES Nintendo 64 - was technically my brother's but he left it downstairs after he got a playstation Gameboy - the original brick Gameboy Colour Gameboy Advance - sadly had to throw it away after the batteries leaked and wrecked the inside.
The only console I use currently is my PS4. Also play on my boyfriend's PS4, with him, and have quite a few saved games on his PS3 as well.
My PS3, PS2 and Nintendo 64 are basically collecting dust. The PS3 I refuse to put away because I might get in the mood for early Dragon Age or Mass Effect trilogy. The N64 is a Pikachu version so it looks super cute on the shelf; and the PS2 is a slim model (I have the regular one, in storage, at my mom's house, along with two PS1) so it doesn't take up space anyway.
I own a Sega Saturn that surprisingly still works but it's inside the box, in my closet, and a Game Gear that I'm not sure still works because I haven't touched it in years.
Also have a Nintendo DS that belonged to my sister's ex but he never went back to get it so... she gave it to me, lol. I don't use it anymore but it was awesome because it had some software installed that came with over 50 games (including Pokémon HGSS and DPP)! Plus it's technically not mine but I can use my boyfriend's 3DS whenever I want.
Phew! I think that's about it ~
Though I am thinking of buying a used Nintendo DS when I have a chance
Counting only stuff I personally own:
New! Nintendo 3DS Gamecube Gameboy Gameboy Color Gameboy Advance Gameboy Advance SP DS 3DS
Counting stuff my family owns (since I use it enough), including the above:
Atari 2600 Nintendo Super Nintendo Sega Genesis N64 PS1 PS2 Wii
...and someday a Switch will be mine, sob... I'll technically have a WiiU once I'm able to live with my gf. ;3;
A PS4 and an Xbox One I haven't turned on in about five months because of a 3.5gb system update I didn't want to bother with when the only games I have for the Xbox are Halo and Skyrim. I also have a Nintendo 3DS and a Gameboy Advanced floating about.

My main consoles that I use are my PS4, PS3, and New Nintendo 3DS XL. (I only have like 5 games for the PS4 tho, lol.) I also have a Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo 64, Wii, regular 3DS, DSi, DS, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Advance, aaand Gameboy Color. Basically I was all Nintendo up until the PS3 gen. I have really enjoyed getting into Playstation goodness. I'm also probably gonna get a Nintendo Switch when there mainline Pokemon game's coming out c:
Oh, also: at my dad's house, we have a Switch, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Mini NES, and Atari! I also used to have a Sega Genesis, it was my first ever console, but no longer own it. I miss it sometimes.

i have a gameboy colour that i got when i was 8 maybe, an n64, ps1 and ps2 that's currently packed away due to a recent move, a ps3 and a ps4 that are currently hooked up in the lounge and a 3ds that's basically a glorified picross machine right this second lmao. and a gaming laptop that is definitely reaching the end of her lifespan haha
one of my partners has a gba and ps2 that are collecting dust, an xbox 360 that's been packed away for moving, a phone that basically runs cookie run and naught else, and a 3ds because i managed to get her back into pokemon <3
our flatmate has a gaming rig set up in her room and a ps3 that isn't hooked up at the moment, plus a 2ds for pokemon dress up simulator sun and moon osithsiot. she also has another gaming rig, her original one, but it's more a communal flat gaming rig since she got a replacement huu
i think that sums us up for now? i miss my sega megadrive ;aaa;
