It would be nice to have a backup of the post that we are about to publish on the forums. Many times it happened that the browser is crashing, the computer turned off, or we started to write on the smartphone and then we came back home so it's much easier and nicer to continue on the computer.. There are many reason why we need a backup, especially when writing long posts.. It can make things so easier.

The backup means that no matter what happens the text is still in the posts text box.

Subeta doesn't need to do anything about this. Copy out and past it to Notebook or whatever rudimentary text editor your computer has. Do smartphones do this?

To copy and paste on a notebook is not very user friendly, especially with all the possibilities that we have now code-wise.. most of the forums these days has this option 😀

Smartphones are a mess, especially an iPhone, I can barely copy one sentence from a web and if I save it to the notes it'll go to my iCloud 😰

it's true that Subeta's forums, two (three?) updates ago had your requested function. But we couldn't Edit after the fact and sometimes first drafts that were warn-able or freezy would end up getting posted whether you wanted it to or not. Wasn't the Edit function considered an interference with moderation?

I have a Chromebox and it is similarly aimed strongly at 'the cloud'. The Google text app is poorly featured but is less clumsy than what you describe though. Sorry Apple's version sucks so bad. Your Suggestion has some merit then.

I didn't know Subeta had that before and that it was messy, so maybe now they can do it better after previous mistakes and that the code is much better?
