I've recently been on a hunt through my wardrobe for socks and left... a little disappointed by the results! For such a versatile and essential clothing item we have very few lines stocking in the main shops. There a few reliable picks - the Knee Socks, Ankle Socks and Cozy Socks are all decent options - but are largely lacking in colour options and heights. I find a lot of the older items very chunky around the ankles and definitely prefer socks that fit tightly to the base as they're more versatile with accompanying footwear.

We have some cool one-offs like the Single Gold Sock, Simply Mad Tattered Socks, Lililace Gray Days Woolen Socks, Warm Blue Professional Socks and Viv Muggy Socks and I kinda like how these all sit on the calves, so it'd be great to see these ideas expanded with a range of colours and patterns, perhaps! The Viv Muggy Socks deserve a special mention as the cabling effect is ace and portrays the texture of a sturdy pair of warm thick socks brilliantly.

So yes, socks! The winter season seems like the perfect chance to expand our options. :)
