When I shop search if my shop item is more in price than all the shop search results then it does not appear at the top of the list.
Example:
Garish Gray Beach Shirt
Mine = 2,010 sPs lowest on shop search = 999 sPs highest on shop search = 1,900 sPs
Mine doesn't appear at the top of the list.
I am assuming this is a error as it doesn't make sense not to have it there.
When it comes to questing this is very annoying as I end up buying things I could have just moved from my shop. It doesn't matter the price range of the shop search, if your item is priced higher than the top shop search then it doesn't appear.
Yep 1899 gets you on the list, 1901 cuts you off. Don't like :(
The shop search lists a particular number of the cheapest of an item. I won't say the exact number, because it gets adjusted based on server strain. If your item happens to be more expensive than that, then it won't show on the list.
You do have a shop search in your shop that you can use while questing along with the user shop search to make sure you don't miss anything! Or the account search, which will let you know if it's in a shop or your vault (because I'm very guilty of just shoving everything in my vault).
- Is it not possible to code it so your own shop always shows at the top? It's a lot easier having items showing on the shop search that having two windows one with the shop and one with the search. I'm not just thinking of quest times but any time you might want to compare directly.
Bought one of those shirts, priced it at 50k to test - it does not show up as a "this is priced in your shop!" highlight on Shop Search. And that's dumb, imo.
The option that shows that you have the item you searched for in your shop should display it regardless if the item is on the current shop search main list or not.
Maybe I have a hoard of 200+ items that are going for 20k in shops, but I had it priced at 600k at one point and didn't bother autopricing after the prices dropped. You want to get superfluous items out of the system? 'Cause... it's not gonna be happening if you hide the fact that I have that item in stock because "oh, it's not the right price". :X
The shop search has always done this, from day one of introducing the ability to "buy" it from your own shop. Its not a glitch.
Resource wise, this does make sense. Otherwise the site has to do an account search type of search in the background while its doing a shop search, it would slow down shop search. I, for one, wouldn't appreciate that.
