I think this is related to the change in how the time remaining is displayed on the game page, since there was an error with the Fishing game recently as well.
I play Reflection and set the alert after the game ends. However, about a minute later I get an alert that I can play the game again even though it's a 4 hour wait. Once the 4 hours are up, I don't get another alert, but I can play the game again. So it seems like it's just the alert part that's broken, it's going off way too early.
Yep. I just came here to report this. Its been happening for a few days now, but at first I thought I was forgetting to click the alert button. I don't delete the event until after I've played, so at first I thought I just wasn't getting the alerts. It wasn't until today that I identified the problem.

A few days now, or just started happening on Thursday (2 days ago)? I made a change to this on Thursday but if it was happening before that, that's useful for me to know so I know if I caused it or not haha.
I'll try to look into this but I don't recall touching the alert code, only the code that tells you when you still have to wait before playing again.
So it sounds like what's happening, is you get the alert basically immediately after setting the alert? What happens if you don't set the alert IMMEDIATELY after you finish the game, but wait like 10 minutes (staying on the page) and then click the alert, does it still alert you about a minute later?
Thanks!

No, it wasn't happening before. Thursday sounds about right.
I can also answer the second question, because I record my results, I sometimes leave the game up for quite awhile before setting the alert. It doesn't matter how long after finishing the game, I get the alert within about a minute of setting it. I've set the alert immediately, after about 10 minutes, and over an hour, in each case the alert came up almost immediately afterward.
The amount of time remaining is always accurate. A nice feature that! :)

I always set my alerts immediately after playing, but looks like was able to answer that for you.
But yeah, basically I set the alert and then about a minute later the alert pops up again in my sidebar (new alert, not the old one that I had already deleted).
Also seconding that I only started noticing this after you mentioned adding the more precise timers on the game pages.
Okay, I've just pushed a fix! Please try a bit later and let me know if it seems more correct now!

Alright, I just played and set the alert. A couple minutes later, and no faulty alert so far. I'll let you know how it goes in ~4 hours.
Same here, but I'll be going offline before my 1 hour, 53 minutes, and 16 seconds are up. So I won't be able to confirm if the alert goes off on time.

It seems to be working okay now. I started a game as I posted above, and I've got the alert now when I should have. No extra alerts or anything after only a few minutes. Thanks for taking care of this!
worked for me too. The event says it happened at 10:52 yesterday, which is right about 2 hours after I posted!
Thanks for the fix!
