To burn or not to burn?

I'm trying to decide whether to burn my rreign items or to trade them.

I'm wondering if anyone knows which year items the bonfire is giving out?

Feel free to discuss whether to burn or not to burn, post your burning rewards or just chat ^_^

The news said the bonfire is giving out old items which I'm guessing to mean every year? ("The Red Rreign is rewarding items not only from this year, but also items from previous years like old books and collectible items.")

I seem to be getting majority from this year, and maybe a fifth (really really rough estimate) from past years. It's pretty good because I'm missing a few old plushies, so I have some hope of getting one or at least the price might drop a little on shop search for me to buy them.

I'm more torn about how much food I should throw at Charity to try get all her items, because she seems to giving out old items and new items at the same frequency and there's just 1 book she doesn't seem to want to part with :(

I'm still torn about the burn but I guess there is a chance I could get a rarer old one. Wish there were more tiers for burning :P

I wasn't even thinking about Charity (facepalm). I need to buy up some super cheap foods and visit her. At least if it is cheap food it's not so bad and you know the Beastie will ask for her stuff ;)

I personally switch between burning, hoarding and selling. I find the burning not really worth it this year.

Charity is where the challenge seems to be. I've given her hundreds of items already and I only just got the last book I needed from her for the first time -_-

I'm burning for the achievement c: 1,067 / 1,500 so I have a ways to go

I got so far (which I already have in my collection...)

BURN EVERYTHING I'm working on the Burned achievement... (44 more to go). Once I get that I'll probably just shove the Wreathed stuff in my shop and forget they're there like always. ^^

But yeah, Charity is pissing me off. Stop hugging me I just want your books.

- Rreign is giving out some expensive plushies/beanbags from previous years, so I'd say burn. Charity, though, is giving out old items at a ratio of about 6 old crappy ones for every new one, and it's pissing me off. That needs to change.

I have to say I'm rather sad about Charity's lack of generosity with the newer items too, I still haven't gotten one of the cute owl things :(

I'm working on the "getting burned by the Rreign" achievement and trying to get as many old plushies/beanbags as I can, so I'm burning pretty much everything I get my hands on, lol.

Burning everything, cause I need the burned achievement.

I'm burning everything and buying tons of cheap food because of Charity. I was basically at 0 on all the fireside achievements because of how busy I usually am this time of year.. I also had to buy every. single. pumpkin for the other achievement.. which sucked lol

I'm also working on the getting burned achievement so I'm throwing all my excess wreathed items in the fire until that happens.

I just went and vended as much as I could from Celebration Gift and threw all the food at Charity. It's probably not the most efficient use of tokens but it was quicker than hunting for cheap food. I'll probably do that again tomorrow. I don't know where I'm at on items, I just figure my goal is to give 1,000 foods for the achievement and then I'll figure out from there if I need to keep going.

I was hoping to get some items out of the fire this year, since last year I was out of town during Fireside...but the stupid Jollin Thief keeps stealing my items so I literally haven't gotten a single thing yet. small sigh

Already got what I want from burning things so I'm tossing food at Charity for books. She's getting on my nerves because she keeps hugging me. Not because the hugging means no item but omg, reading that part creeps me out. I hate being touched in real life so imagining even a fake character hugging me can be too much. Add in her over enthusiasm over getting the food item, it's surprising I haven't hurt myself running out so fast. Yet I keep going back. Can't she just thank me and realize not everyone is comfortable with being touched? lol

I started burning, but I didn't care enough about what I was getting back. Now they're my biggest seller in my shop.

Everyone's going full tilt for the the books from Charity. I must admit that's what I've been doing most, (and fragging to get the last bits I wanted before the clear out). I have no idea how many burnables I have but I ought to throw some the Rreign's way. I got the achievements a couple of years back I think so no incentive for that reason.

I just got the burned achievement today, so I will probably go for keeping and selling. Getting the charity achievement is taking a while; I've been keeping food in my vault since last year for this but going through everything I've hoarded is starting to feel like work

The 2016 and earlier books which were too expensive to buy when you could donate for them last year, they no longer are so expensive. I'm just buying them outright. I think I will wait until next year for the 2017 books.

I've been burning everything I receive. Been getting a lot of plushies, beanbags, clothes, etc. Pretty good prizes!
