I can get achievements, but I have to jump through a couple of hoops to get them to trigger, currently. I was going through plushie and beanbag achievements and buying some of the things I still needed for a few, to the point that I should have gotten the achievements immediately, or at least when I changed pages. Instead, I had to click on the achievement name, refresh on that page after several seconds of it not loading, at which point it would load but show me as having none of the items for it, and then if I waited a minute and then clicked back to the main achievement page, followed by the plushie or beanbag, page, THEN it would pop. Clicking around achievement categories before those last two steps would show me a single achievement for that category, but with inaccurate numbers.

It's been like this for a while. At least for me it has. It's not really a bug (at least I don't consider it one)
