I predicted Atebus today. I can't find the rhyme or reason to the "tracking" option in this game.

I don't think there is, I think its completely random. As with all random games here, I make the same choice (or pattern, or path) every day until I win, then pick a new one.

and Thanks for the answers! Well that's kind of disappointing. I'm cool with stuff like Mind Reader being random, or even Crypts (even though that doesn't make a lot of sense; the same door ought to lead to the same place every day, but ok, you get lost and confused), but astronomy isn't random...at all...it's super predictable...argh

I think it would make it a LOT more interesting if there was a pattern of some kind. On the other hand once you figure out the pattern, you automatically win every time, which is also boring. It would involve much more intensive programming and skill to make games that you can work out a system, still keep interesting, but not have people win every time.

Blackout comes close, except for the not winning every time. Once you understand how to work the game, you can win every time, but the game is different every time you play because it changes based on the starting set up.

2048 is a little better because you can't win every time (or at least I can't), but it does get repetitious and boring. I actually preferred 2048 more when I didn't get the pattern.

Well, that's a good point. I guess a formula would kind of ruin the game. But maybe it could change every day, yet still be math-based, somehow. I dunno, a star that just randomly pops up in unpredictable places every night bugs me. It must actually be a UFO. Those doggone aliens lol

Yeah or at least narrow down the possibilities, like you can figure out it should show in the northern skies this week, and choose a more northern land.
