Day-um that new check-in page is paaainful to use. I pity anyone who has more than five pets. That drop-down pet menu is killing me.

@ Dreadful I'm confused on what you mean by "new check-in page"? Both resorts have been a one-pet-at-a-time deal ever since they were implemented. If anything, the Veta Lake resort is currently easier to use than the Rathskeller Inn.

One of the GA perks is the ability to check in all pets into the Veta Lake resort. Did you maybe have a GA that ran out?

No, I've seen the Ga account one, which is handy, but this is something different. Before when I checked in you'd just click to select your pet and the only drop-down was for the number of days. Now they're both drop-downs. Were you seeing something else? Is this only on my page?

[edit] Did you mean the thing where the resort lists already checked-in pets? I just checked one of mine into Veta Lake and it's still listing him in the dropdown, as well as listing the pet I have checked into Rathskeller Inn. So I have to open the list and manually pick another pet instead of the site automatically displaying the next available pet.

This tripped me up, too. It used to be that I'd select 21 days from the drop down menu, click a pet, and hit enter to check them into the resort. Then I'd hit backspace to go back a page, click the next pet, and hit enter again. Repeat until they're all checked in.

Now that pets are listed in a drop down instead of spread out on the page, it takes longer to open the dropdown, find the next pet on the list, and click the smaller target (a line of text < giant pet image).

I guess it looks cleaner than the old format, but it's much slower to use.

Yeah it is much longer this way, especially since it still lists already checked-in pets on the drop menu. I think so. It's not checked-in pets. In fact, now it looks like the page doesn't list checked-in pets at all. Have you gone to look at the page? oO It may look different for GA accounts, but on non-GAs there are three new boxes. One has a dd for days, the next has a dd for pets (all names displayed, even already checked-in pets) and the last box has the actual check in button. :I

Yep, and this is what I'm seeing on the Veta Lake Resort page. ._. Armageddon is checked into Rathskeller in, he still shows up on the list here. Abdiel has been checked in as a test-run, he's in the Veta Lake Resort.

I definitely agree that it's annoying that it lists already checked-in pets - I can already see who's checked in on my pets page.

[edit] Editing to add - Rathskeller Inn still has the old system. Pets that are already checked in don't show up there (and it has a longer stay time, 31 days instead of 21). I think you still need the Uncharted Land Map completed to access it, though.

So maybe they decided to switch things back to the old system on the resort as well. But without showing those checked in. oO

@ Dreadful I don't think they changed anything, I'm still getting the list with checked-in pets in the resort.

I checked in Chrome to see if maybe NoScript was being dumb for me, but nope, Chrome also lists my checked-in pets in the Veta Lake Resort dropdown. Rathskeller Inn does not show them.

@ bug Sorry in advance for nagging! ;; Is the new Veta Lake Resort supposed to be listing already checked-in pets, or is that something that can possibly be removed? It's kinda redundant, we already have a message about a pet being in the resort on the pets.php page and it's really annoying when checking lots of pets in without a GA.

It's DEFINITELY different from the last time I checked in. It used to be a drop down menu for then days, but then just a selection option that showed all your pets, and had ci messages for the ones already ci.

... And that's exactly what I'm getting when I go to the Veta Lake Resort.

This might be an odd question, but are you sure you didn't mix the resorts up?

@ Dreadful Then I don't know what to tell you. o.o; My page for Veta Lake Resort still looks like the screenshot I posted earlier. I haven't had a GA in at least a month now, so that's not it either.

My Rathskeller Inn page looks like this, with the "next step" button hidden by that dropdown.

I haven't seen any visual changes done to the resorts since that Veta Lake redesign, and that was months ago. Am I going nuts?

[edit] Or I could just be a grade A dingbat! It wasn't months ago. :'| I'm sorry! The new Resort was very curtly mentioned in the November 2nd update run, this year. Somehow, I managed to read your posts as saying that more changes were made just now, while you were checking pets in. gg, me.
