Sadly today my tablet stopped working for 50% which is quite rubbish. I tried to reinstall the driver, using the tablet on both a Windows and Mac and I noticed some part of the surface are working and some not. It's too old. I had him for 7 years. Rest in peace buddy.

Anyway I did some digging in a similar tablet and my eye fell on these two: WACOM Intuos Art Small Black and WACOM Intuos Draw White.

Does anyone has experience with one of these two and which one is better? (Feel free to make other recommendations).

I have the Draw one :) I'm very pleased with it. Sometimes the buttons on the top get in my way when Iean on them to type. At least it's a big improvement for me after a tablet from Lidl x)

That's great :D I was very happy with my current tablet (and I got it to working again but still glitches sadly). I never knew the Lidl had tablets! That's a new one to me. Are they really that bad? X)

I'm curious about one thing of your tablet. Does the pen have a eraser on the back? I can read here and there different things about it. My current one has an eraser on the back which is really handy so I'm kind of hoping the current line has it too.

It was a weekly random thing :P And yes! It didn't even have pressure sensitivity lol

No, It doesn't have an eraser. It would indeed be handy... I don't know if the tablets had an update yet? I think mine is 2 years old almost

That’s really bad xD How did you manage to draw with it?

I was hoping they would have an eraser on the back. I’m so used to it. Maybe my current pen with one could fit on it? Not sure If it would act the same.

From what I know they didn’t sadly.

Hmm, I don't know. The tablet does react to something magnetic in my phone/mouse. So maybeeeee.. I just click the buttons :D or maybe you could change the settings of the two buttons on the pen (which are left en right mouseclick ofcourse) to change from pen to eraser? Depends on the program you use i think

I feel you. I've had the same waccom bamboo tablet for probably about ten years! xD I just started having problems with the pen a couple months ago. Those things are amazing little tanks! It's so old the pen to replace it is worth almost as much as the tablet now, if you can find one for sale, which I couldn't lol. So I decided to treat myself to a new one on black friday if I can get one before they sell out.

I've been looking at the Microsoft Surface Pro 2017. And if you like to use the internet on the go there's an LTE version coming out in December. From the reviews I've read it works great as a drawing tablet and while you do have to buy the pen separately the options for it are good too. There's a nice review on it here. I also like to write and work on my pet pages so that's why I decided to look at a computer tablet over a drawing tablet. Especially since a lot of artists seem to think that it's just as good as some of the nicer intuos tablets so I liked that. It's not going to be as good as the best drawing specific tablet but that's okay for me, I mean I got along fine with my little old bamboo so anything is likely to be a step up for me :) And for the price it's not bad, especially if you wait for a sale.

I also like to do gaming though so I'm also considering buying the laptop version instead. But i'm iffy about that since I'm not sure if sacrificing some of the drawing specs is worth being able to play skyrim at work. but maybe. lol.

Sorry I response so late! I thought I already responded but sadly it didn't went through.

I'm using those settings right now (they are a life saver. I have on the top one ctrl z and on the bottom brush settings and I use cs6). I find it so strange they removed eraser from the current tablets. I don't understand the idea behind it because it's quite handy to have one on the back but thankfully my tablet works normally now (not sure how but hey, I'm happy!).

Wow, that's quite a tank compared to mine which is around seven years old (and he works again! Don't ask me how but I'm happy haha. I'm hoping it will stay this way). I just looked up and you're right! Those are crazy prices. I hope you will be able to get one!

That's quite a nice tablet! I like how big they are. Not so small like most tablets. I will keep that one in mind for the future when my tablet really breaks down. That's amazing you can do that. They kinda look like intros tablets at least on the pictures I have seen (they also work on the same programs I use which is a big plus!)

I saw you guys mention the Surface Pro and just popped on to be like "its rad u guys shuld get eet". Especially in my case, I got the Pro 4 while it was on sale, approximately 450 quid/500 USD for a bundle including keyboard and mouse (edit: and the pen as well) (i5/128gb/4gb). It's all-in-one lmao; I use it as my laptop and general browsing device as well as drawing.

Though I did have a bad experience using Paint Tool SAI with the Pro 4; even with wintab drivers installed. It ended up being unusable enough that I switched to photoshop for everything. It might have been because I was using an old version of SAI though, but that's just something to note xD.

Good luck with grabbing the tablet you want!!

so happy you shared that! :D I keep waffling on what I should be looking at xD

That's really cool that yours started working again! I hope it gives you plenty more time before you have to for sure buy a new one
