So I was going to the MC to buy something and luckily it was for the :
Saggitarius Thank you for your purchase! Ornamented Hook Swords
Because, once I clicked on it, it went straight to the purchase of it, not a: "Are you sure You want to purchase Ornamented Hook Swords for 450,000,000sP?"
What if someone was just trying to scroll down the page and accidentally hit that or something even more expensive? Also, people have posted on this thread about "page jumps". A confirmation would take that concern out entirely, right?
Would staff take the item back and reimburse the user or would it be... You bought it! ? =/
Why even have someone have to file a ticket ( that takes up the Staff's valuable time ), when it can be solved with a small Purchase Confirmation?
Yes or no? If you have a better suggest or can word this better to get the point across, please feel free to do so and I will edit. Peace! [edit]
[edit]Due to a couple users mentioning adding a confirmation for purchases over 'x' Amount, I am adding this as a possible choice for the confirmation:
^ I do not know if they can do over a certain amount or has to be any purchase(s), but it doesnt hurt to ask. :)
Note to staff: If you do add confirmation, please ping me to let know. Thank you! :)
Honestly super surprised that this hasn't already been implemented. Definitely support!
totally support a confirm dialog to be added. I wasn't aware that there weren't one already for the MC. 450m is a pretty big mistake purchase :x

I totally support this, I'd hate to lose all my SP to my sensitive touchpad and my clumsy hands
I support this.
Beautiful Idea

Thankies everyone above that support this suggestion. I have hit that post ❤️ Much appreciated! :D Hopefully this is added very soon, as I am holding off on buying anything from MC.
I was too I was like - 😮 I was actually buying those swords for a friend ( she was letting me buy them, to help me with getting MC Big Spender Achievement ).
SO glad that is what I was after and not something else/clicked accidentally on something else entirely. Especially b/c, it wasnt my monies. =/
blinks This seems disingenuous. Why are you carrying around 450MsP if you don't intend to spend it? It doesn't benefit you to do this because Subeta is chock-full of spending opportunities. Stick that in your Vault. If you can shop there with that kind of money aren't you already a somewhat cautious person? How else did you accumulate that much dosh without spending it on everything?
Maybe the Millionaire Center needs to reinstate the twelve hour delay with an added Alert. If users know they have to wait that long they will be more cautious without forcing everyone else to suffer a confirmation.
Staff should not reimburse anybody. It's the Millionaire Center. It's got "million" in the name.
I do not like extra confirmations all over the place. I regularly buy at the MC and don't have a problem. On season change days that I know I'm visiting there looking at new stuff but not really sure what I want to buy, I take anything more than 500,000 sP out of my pocket and then go look. Once I'm done window shopping, I load up my pockets and go spree.
I do not like this Suggestion
I don't see why there isn't a notification - if you're wanting to buy a particular item, took the sP from your vault / out of your trouser turn-ups ready to buy and are using a touchscreeen for instance, it could be possible to 'click' by accident (instead of scrolling down the page).... or if you're clicking to buy an item and the page jumps (it happens - it's annoying, but it happens), and the click actually registers on the item you don't want to buy.
Given that the MC items are expensive (hence "the 'million' in the name"), surely that's one place where we should have an alert?

Thankies everyone above that supports this suggestion. I have hit that post ❤️ :)
Now to You: disingenuous ? Are you sure that is the word you mean, because: dis·in·gen·u·ous [ˌdisənˈjenyo͞oəs] ADJECTIVE not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does. synonyms: insincere · dishonest · untruthful · false · deceitful · duplicitous · lying · mendacious · hypocritical
MY post is nothing of any of those words and if necessary I will ask the user who I was grabbing the swords for to post or I shall make a ticket asking a staff member for my records of MC purchase and trades to prove that is indeed what I bought. I would very much appreciate you recant and edit that statement please and thank you.
Now, onto the suggestion at hand... Ok, if it would be cause for suffering, not a confirm dialog, but how about being able to set a PIN for purchases? Like how we already have - SECURITY! It appears that you must enter a PIN to access this function of the site. Please enter the PIN below: Prompt for PIN At: Login Vault (Points) Vault (Items) Pet Weapons Shop Changing Password Abandon Pet Accept Trade Offers Delete Cult (this is still there? lmao) Armory Remove Item from Pet Treasure Gift Item to User
That way, a user can decide if they want a PIN or not. :) Peace!
Okay, I support this suggestion entirely. A confirmation popup is such a small thing- I don't imagine it would have any negative impact on people's day-to-day operations. If you're going to be spending millions in a shop that happens to sell a ton of items, then I definitely think there should be a confirmation! The MC is a specialty shop and shouldn't be treated like one of the common NPC shops. I mean, for Pete's sake, that purchase was for nearly half a billion sp!
I don't really support the PIN idea. Mostly because I think PINs are a generally underutilized and forgotten thing. I figure most people wouldn't turn it on, and then you'd be left in the same position.
I do like extra confirmations all over the place when they are useful and necessary like this one.

ooh, yes please. my pages jump sometimes. and most laptops that primarily use trackpads aren't as good as mine about being hard to mistake-click, too - my bf's laptop is awful. i hate to do anything on it because if you tap lightly on the trackpad, it clicks. you don't even have to actually press the button part of the trackpad, just tap on it very very lightly and it acts like you clicked. it's a pretty new (like less than a year old) laptop, too. i don't want to waste millions of sp on the wrong item when my pages jump or someone else's trackpad clicks because they tapped on it mistakenly.

I don't care if someone carry 450m on them or not, make this a thing! My pages often jump for no reason whatsoever and misclicking would probably happen someday.
Love this idea so much :) AJAY it’s a great idea and could save people a lot of hassle.
I hit that post ❤️ on everyone who supports this suggestion. It is appreciated! :)
I am one of those who does use the PIN ( on everything the site has an option to ) - A little added "security" even if its false-sense. :P I only suggested that, so it wouldnt "cause any suffering".
I get that it can be annoying to have confirmation popups for every little thing, but for expensive and/or irreversible things I don't mind it. We have confirmations for Cash Shop purchases, so why not this? It only takes a few seconds to verify the popup and click okay or press enter. That small amount of time is not going to ruin anyone's life.
While we're at it, could we do confirmations for the Antique Shop as well? Same deal with expensive items and all that.
