Sooo maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but I got a couple white fabric markers from the craft store the other day to make some patches for my Halloween costume. It was working great at first. Better than I expected, actually. But within minutes of using it, the color faded and it seems dry ALREADY -___- I shook the pen and pressed/drew at an angle while using. I think the picture instructions were telling me to do that, anyway. I've tried letting them sit tip down for an hour or two and using them again, but the color hasn't returned :/ The brand is Marvy Uchida? And it's called DecoFabric. The color I have is white.
Does anybody have any experience with these or other fabric markers? And if there's anything I can do to get more than 2 min use out of them? __
Unfortunately I don't know if I'll have time to order any more online, and I'd rather not go back to the craft store to get more because they're pretty expensive for just one. But I suppose I'll do it if I have to.
Anyway, I'd love some tips, advice, any fabric markers you recommend. Thank you!
EDIT Lol I am such a doof! I was so annoyed and couldn't believe the markers dried out so quickly, but I was reading a review on Amazon and somebody having the same issue mentioned they didn't know they had to press the tip several times to get the ink going again. Oops! But I'm still open to hearing what fabric markers you prefer. I think I've found a new hobby of making patches and would love any suggestions/tips you have :)
