random ToT won't refresh though

okay so the link works one time, but now will no longer refresh. it instead decides it is INVALID and would rather you go through a way more tedious process. honestly just wanted to refresh every once and a while from work in the open page but.
Is this fixable?
This was a purposeful change - if you want to random ToT again you can go to the news page and click the link from there. Maybe we can add a widget to make it easier from the sidebar.
Without the prevention it just ends up being a page that people set up auto timers on without actually interacting with the page.

I just wanted you to know, Keith, that clicking the link from the news page doesn't work for me.
A widget would be fantastic. I wondered why there was one for Melody but no other holiday.

I still get an invalid page when using the link on the news page. Normally I just have the News page open in one tab while I go on & do other stuff. But would right click the random tot in a new tab. Now it seems I have to open a brand new news page or refresh it in order to not get the invalid page.

I wonder, if this is related. All these years and this time as well, I would have one of my friends's profile open (depending on which items I'm after) in a tab and just click on the ToT link there, whenever the alert came on. Worked fine until yesterday later afternoon. Now after a while I keep getting "Oh No! Oh no, you've got an invalid link!" and I need to refresh the profile.
Yes, you need to refresh the news page/profile/etc so that it generates a new valid link. As said, this was done to prevent cheating, and we are looking into better solutions in the meantime.
Locking as this is not a bug.
