This might not be feasible for the 13th anniversary of Subeta, but maybe for a future one (15th? 20th?). I feel that to thank the users for a certain number of years of Subeta, it would be nice for the staff to drop the cost of a pet slot by 50%. This could be implemented for either the Cash Shop (50% of 2000 CSC is 1000 CSC) or the Millionaire Center (for all ten of the pet slots).

The Cash Shop option could occur either during the anniversary itself (mid-September) or during the Black Friday sale of an anniversary year. To offset the possible loss of CSC from the lower pet slot price, I suggest that old delish items return to the cash shop like they did for the 13th anniversary. Or maybe bring back some of the old Cash Shop battle challengers. Some of the CS items ARE wearable, so people who aren’t battlers would want to buy them for their wardrobe.

The Millionaire Center option is viable because it would encourage more users to buy the slots and get more SP off the site. For example, if 200 users buy the 120 million slot (50% of 120 million is 60 million) that would be 12,000,000,000 sp removed from the economy. I think this idea is a valid suggestion because, to quote the Pet Spotlight rules, “Subeta is a pet site”. Many folks enjoy this site because of the pet designs as well as the ability to make pet overlays.

can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the basic argument is that there should be a 50% sale on pet slots, either during Subeta's anniversary or during the Black Friday sale. The sale would apply to people who have been members for a certain amount of time and/or could occur for a special anniversary (year 15, for example). The cost could be offset by adding Delish lines or battle challengers back to the cash shop during the 50% off pet slots sale. The argument of why the suggestion is valid is because the site is supposed to be, at its core, a pet site rather than an avatar/wearable site.

I like the idea of 50% off pet slots. I've been meaning to buy more but have hesitated because of the price, but I can't resist a good discount haha. I think the argument could be that you could buy CSC during a CSC bonus weekend and out that towards the slot. I'm also not sure of the staff's argument for why pet slots don't go on sale, because they might have a valid reason (like, pet slots make up a good portion of their monthly sales and they wouldn't want to lose that income or something). So, I guess I'm on the fence about the suggestion!

Given that we've gotten about two basically free pet slots this year alone through site events, I don't support this.

The argument that it would be a good sP sink if the slots were half price in the millionaire center seems odd to me - while more people might buy slots then, less sP exits the system, so in my mind the sink remains about equal, in theory.

TL:DR - I'm okay with the pet slot price points set as they are.

Personally I don't have any need for the pet slots to be included in a sale (speaking as someone who has reached the MC limit already 😊), but if it was made into a thing, I wouldn't necessarily be against it.

However, given that the CSC pet slots are already cheaper than the original plushie-given pet slots were (and the majority if not all of the MC slots are cheaper in sP than the equivalent price in sP for the cash shop slots), I'm not convinced that we would ever get a sale from the current prices, let alone 50%!

I also think that subeta should have some items that are difficult to get -I'm looking at you Natasha or the Ether- be it available in sP or CSC. If they discount something that is more pricey like the pet slot, nobody will buy it anymore -as they'll wait for the period it gets discounted, creating another imbalance in the economy [which seems to be more stable now].

There's an easy way to appease those who bought all the CSC pet slots: increase the limit of CSC slots one can buy at the same time the 50% pet slot sale is announced.

What if before the anniversary/ Black Friday sale we failed to reach a Quest-a-thon goal? As a result of our failure, the staff would do the 50% pet slot sale to cheer up the userbase. I mean, you missed out on 1 slot but now have the chance to get five.

We've had pet slots for sale for one Black Friday only, if I remember right. Ever since then, staff has made it very clear in news posts that pet slots and some other features won't be going on sale during Black Friday.

I wouldn't mind a small discount on things for a big, special anniversary (like the 20th site anniversary), but I think 50% off would be a bit much. 😞 And this is coming from someone who loves pets and petslots and is currently maxed on both sP and CSC slots (and wouldn't mind more MC slots as an sP sink/something to save up for).

A 10% discount on all pet slots as a consolation prize for a lost quest-a-thon could be interesting, however! And it would potentially be a good way to pull the sP we've earned out of the system.

We already have a lot of cheap slots - including the MC ones.

Yeah, pet slots used to be discounted during Black Friday (as did name changes, I believe), and then they stopped discounting them. So while I would be all for a discounted anything, I don't think it's something they'll do.

im sure they are more open to increasing the pet slots per accounts, as opposed to discounting their price. i'm still against the suggested mega-discount. sorry, not sorry.

Pet slots are pretty cheap compared to what they used to be 5+ years ago.

Instead, I would rather see Black Friday exclusive pet slots. In other words, pet slots at normal price that can only be purchased during the Black Friday period.

If we lose a Quest-a-Thon, they have always said they will offer the same reward for the next one - so you wouldn't really be missing out on anything but the opportunity.

I always support increasing limits - would be happy to buy more CSC slots or MC slots if they were available! I'm not maxed on CSC ones yet but that's mostly because I like the flexibility of feeling like I can buy more at any time rather than running into a hard limit. xD

It's really up to them with the pet slot limits and prices. I haven't seen a sale on pet related options since Black Friday 2013 and 2014 and a one or two times outside around then (in the Spring I think). The MC prices are pretty much static, even with the seasonal rotation.

I support bringing CS battle challengers back permanently. The same year's challengers didn't show up on BF last year, which I think is ridiculous to wait until next year or buy at inflated price if you can even find them in the shops at all.

My suggestions: I'd support buyable pet slots that covers any missing slots from choosing something else from the loyalty totems earlier. I don't know if the user dashboard tracks them accurately, but if it does that's would make it easier to implement.

My response to other suggestions: I don't support BF exclusive pet slots because that puts further strain on the everyone's budget during that crucial time. Plus, if you're not there for whatever reason, you miss out completely. It's better just to increase the limit as usual.

Prices are fine the way they are in my opinion.

They are currently rather cheap as it is, leave it like that. Having heaps of pet slots is a privilege and it should cost quite a bit. Because you can keep lowering it for people who think it's expensive until the point they are free.

Subeta has been quite clear on that they want to keep the price as it is.

If you think the $ slots are too expensive there is the MC option, if you think the MC is too expensive you'll just need to keep saving.

It doesn't double - it goes up by 20 million.

It's absolutely cheap. 40 million is about a week worth of quests and decent restocking

Personally - not really. I don't really like the idea of pet slots being EXCLUSIVE to Black Friday, or really, any limited-in-time slots.

I know I have a lot of expenses in the last months of the year, especially as Christmas comes by, and I feel I'm not the only one.

I can support upping the maximum during the Black Friday sale, but no to limiting the offer in time.
