i just got this gold account from the loyalty box for my 4 year anniversary.

i remember:

-when shinwa was just an anime girl -having to type in a captcha for every item bought -having to type in the items instead of having that "shop search" button -i thought saggitarius was a cute spoiled boy, then he got redesigned and i thought he was just a jerk -having to store all my money in my bank account so the taxman wouldnt get a portion -being absolutely TERRIFIED of denying maleria her quest items because i thought she would actually do something bad to my pets or my account -when i first went, OHHH, MALERIA, i get it

so many changes, and i'm practically a new player! i love seeing all the REALLY old stuff on the site, and get disappointed sometimes when things get revamped, because it's like history's being erased!

anything you guys remember from starting up on here?

Hmm what I remember....

+The wizard giving out items and on occasion wizard tokens. +Getting 50 point tokens during the weekend special quests from him so that you ended up with 3-6k tokens during each day of the WSQ. +CSC being under 8mil for 500. +Achievements were not a thing yet. +Angelic Potions going for 12-15mil a pop.

-That brief period when they first implemented Achievements and they gave you little icons -When they implemented the current Achievement system and you had to import any "Legacy" achievements you earned. -When HAs were relatively new and there were three or four items that just about everyone wore -Before there were Custom Wearables, there were Staff Items -Subeta meet-ups! (I never got to go to one, though...) -The Drama surrounding the switch from .org to .net (I was never totally clear on what happened there, actually) -Speaking of drama: Longcat --> Draconis -When the wizard typically gave out 15 Point Tokens instead of 20

God, probably a lot more. I've been here around a decade. That's a lot of memories to sift through.

I was here back when the fragmentizer gave out less than one crystal per item!

The introduction of battle quests When the holiday shop existed (RIP) with items for each holiday When you had to RS items from Subeautique like the rest of NPC shops Like , the first and briefly lived version of achievements that mimicked the way secret avatars work on Neopets. Then the revision to the current system. The sandcastle competition Weekly trivia

And much more that is currently escaping me.

Well I joined over half my life ago, so let's see how crap my memory is, shall we (spoiler: it's absolute garbage).

• I forgot about the captchas omg I knew something seemed quicker about buying from the main shops.

• AND I forgot about the taxman too. Starting off strong with proof my mind is a steel cage.

• The shop search button is a blessing! I've been on hiatus for a while and when I came back and went to do quests I opened a bunch of shop search tabs to do them. I remember when you got better items for quests the faster you did them. (i.e. The wizard gave out less and less tokens the longer it took for you to turn in the quest.)

• A bunch of the old items are revamped now and it makes me sad bc when I see some of the original items that have been around forever I get all nostalgic~

• I also remember when HAs were new and everyone wore the same few items. I used to wear the arm/leg warmers, angel wings, and the gothic collar because I was a try-hard edgelord when I was younger. And my dream wardrobe wears of the past were:

• The original user profiles that were still on the same page with the dashboard (probably a better way to describe that).

• The old Subeta Explore map/globe, where clicking on the location would take you to a list of sub locations. (ex. like the options at the recycle beast page)

• Real life Kumos plushies, that was a thing right? Like I said my memory is wack, but I remember being sad I wasn't able to get one.

• Is Keith's birthday still a holiday?

• Really active forums and lots of HA contests. There are so few users on now and practically no contests. I plan on running a bunch of HA contests in the near future so join to be alerted for the grand debut~

• Oh, watching ads for csc was briefly a thing.

I love reading about the subetan history! :D I only joined less than a year ago so it's fascinating!

I've been around for almost 12 years and there have been SO many changes in that time.

The BIG one I remember was when the site was hijacked by someone who worked with Keith and claimed the site was his. I think it was .com back then. It was a very dark time for all of us and the site was down for quite awhile. The weird thing was, you go to the original link and everything was there and you could play, but it wasn't actually getting you anywhere. I remember getting a ton of Luminaire Boxes and other expensive things, but we didn't get to keep them. Eventually Keith got all the original data back under a new domain and all was well, but it was a pretty scary time. I also remember when Wiz quests were pretty hard to complete with a lot of high value items asked for, Cinthia didn't exist, Maleria gave out some pretty cool items, but asked only for Dark and Purple items, and there were Computer Geek Quests, which actually only asked for toys and I really miss those.

Oh gosh only a few years on this site and already so many things are gone! Some of these have already been mentioned but it's nice to reminisce...

-getting interest from banked sP... I always meant to do a thing during which I'd put all my sP in there for a little while to get a bunch of interest. When I came back from a two-year long hiatus this year I checked the bank and was so surprised when there was no interest for the very few million I had stored, lol! -Computer Geek quests! Totally forgot about those. -csc from ads! I used to dedicate a good chunk of time for these I think haha -500 csc for each referred friend! It was so easy to get CSC back then, between the ads, referring friends, and the lower sP price -Saggi giving away much larger sums, up to 600k each I think if the items were particularly expensive! Not sure if this was really a thing or I'm just imagining it, but we used to be able to get 100-200k from each quest I believe! -a bunch of now-retired SBQ lines. This one is obvious, but I was so sad when I came back and saw all of my favorite lines that I'd been trying to collect were retired! Now the prices are so high for retired stuff, it's nearly impossible to complete your collection without spending a huge amount of sP. Also: what ever happened to Hazel and Rainyday? Those were my favorite! -shinwa being a super cute, pure little girl. I came back and saw her and was shocked! When did she become so cocky? -Were quest points a thing three-four years ago? -the captcha and haggling for NPC shops! I never really did the haggling because I was too lazy, but I'm sure lots of others did. -the art obviously not being as amazing as it is now! It was good three-four years ago, but seeing the progress has been amazing! -a few items EVERYONE wore, though I can't exactly remember which. -Melody being a cute anime girl with big red eyes. She looks so different now! The new art is great but I personally liked the old art better.

I'm sure there's more, I just can't remember!
