Hi,

I didn't seen anything about this in the known bugs list, so I guess I'm going to make a post for it. I noticed today that I have a lot of forum titles that I shouldn't have.

First, here's a screenshot from the "Claim Titles" page: Link

These are all correct.

As you can tell, I don't even have a single item for these achievements. I haven't checked every single forum title I have, but I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't earn many other forum titles yet. I don't know what's going on there but I figured it would be good to report it.

you can file a ticket to have them removed (i believe i used account issues > other), but i went through my titles & achievements myself before i filed my tickets so i'm not sure if staff can tell earned and illegitimate titles apart when they look at your account? it'd be much easier if they could, hah.

As long as the claim titles page is correct, then giving them the data from that page will at least let them know what titles you should have. And they can remove anything that's not on that list.

that makes sense, i've just being avoiding that page since it was the only thing out of the ordinary i did when i ended up with extra titles the first time i needed a title-removal ticket p: (ofc, i don't think that's why i ended up with extra titles this time, so i guess that was pointless.)

Just to clarify because I'm a royal derp - we're still advised to double-check and cross-reference the "claim titles" page with the achievements that have titles, just to be sure? Or were you advising to cross-reference the "claim titles" page with the forum title selection list?

I was saying that one way staff can tell it apart, is if you're sure the claimed titles page is correct, you can give staff the list from that page and then staff can just make sure those are the only ones you have haha.

I know I have at least one achievement title I shouldn't have, but I'm not sure how much I trust the "claim titles" page given that it was originally the source of all these headaches. And with over 1700 achievements, 50+ titles and a twitchy achievements page to go through, it's a bit of a daunting task to confirm everything manually. I wanted to double-check with you before I went through with that.

I don't know if it's guaranteed to be correct lol... I'm sorta going off of what said in the first post.

Oi, I can only imagine. :'| We've had at least one achievement page update in the past, possibly one before it that I can't remember. It works decently in Chrome, but it's kind of a strange, fickle thing in Firefox.

Nah, it's a strange fickle thing in all browsers. I mean... it mostly does the job it's supposed to do I suppose xD

Since this forum title thing seems to be a big thing though... I can try to put it on my list, to see if I can figure out why it's happening, but idk. I've just got a lot on my plate and it doesn't seem too much of a game-changer right now so it may need to wait.

Nah, fixing the forum titles isn't that big of a deal, at least to me. :'D It's more of an "I don't want to get in trouble" kind of situation/mentality since it kind of falls under the glitch abuse rule even though I know UAs aren't trigger-happy here. Maybe a disclaimer from staff telling people they won't be warned if they don't immediately submit their illegitimately gained forum titles? idk.

Aw, it's okay! Don't worry about it. I know you're working on nearly all of the things and holy smokes, it is reassuring to see communication between you and the users. I think the achievements page and the forum titles can wait for a little bit longer.

Users won't get in trouble for glitch abuse for simply having them unlocked, since that isn't something they can even control. If you see that you have a title you didn't earn, just avoid using that title on the forums.

We do want users to report it when they notice, because in the case that we have to fix them manually, it'll help to have a list of users who need it fixed. And in any case it doesn't hurt to make a ticket just so it's on our radar that your titles are incorrect. But there's no need to panic if you just didn't notice it until now, like you said Subeta is typically fair about warnings and it would make no sense to warn someone for just like... not reporting it fast enough lol.

This ping nudged me into going through all my unearned achievements for titles and cross-reference them with my forum title list, came up to a total of 7 unearned titles. Not fun in the slightest, but at least I don't have to think about it any more! [sub]Bye, Room For One title, u r impossible for me to ever obtain.[/sub]
