I have some handspun yarn from my shetland sheep, but it is single-ply. If you can knit with single-ply yarn, would you like to give it a try? There's a tiny bit of VM in the yarn, but not much. I got most out when drafting the fiber. I don't knit or crochet, but I enjoy raising sheep and processing fiber.

I just got done working on a project using single-ply, so it seems so far like I can work with it. :) If you want to let me know a little bit more about what you're looking for I'd be happy to work with you. Do you happen to know what weight the yarn is? I like working with bulkier weights better - I mostly just don't have the patience for light weight yarns haha but in general I love the idea of using yarn that I know where it came from!

Due to it being handspun, the weight varies. It measures 1mm thick at the thinner points, and 3.5mm in other spots. I'm not sure how many yards it is (yeah, I don't have a niddy-noddy yet either), so I can't say for certain what you'd be able to make with it. I'd be happy to give it to you so you can experiment with it if you're ever feeling adventurous.

I get you on knowing where it comes from. :) I drafted together a black wool and a white wool. The black is from Jenny, and the white is from Opal. Jenny is very intelligent (moreso than my dog) but very flighty. Opal on the other hand will come right up to you for snuggles.

Sorry I kind of ghosted on you - my husband and I went to the mountains and I wasn't on much :x Your sheep sound so sweet! I've always loved the idea of having sheep and making my own yarn, but I'm sure that it's a lot of work! That being said, I don't feel comfortable just taking your yarn haha, are you just looking for someone to test it out? I'd be happy to make you something with it :)

I kinda disappeared on you, too! It's more that I've had this yarn for a while, and I don't feel right selling it since I am not an experienced handspinner. I'd be happy just to see that someone is making something with it. :)
