Hi! So, I've been off-and-on trying to get into battling for... Ages, now. I've got some stuff together, but other things... Not so much. I want to get everything set up the best I can, but I'm not 100% sure what to do... Or what to do first.

My battle pet is Ruxet. She's T6 with 25 AP.

Weapons set:

I pretty much only use the wand/trident, and PQ when necessary. I use Ol Blue when the opponents are frozen, everything else is either very infrequent or not at all (I honestly don't think I've ever used BHB).

I have in my armory for when I finally hit T7. I also have a couple of the rift weapons and such around.

Scroll set:

Telson when I want damage (which isn't much, I know) and Soothing Current when I need the more powerful healing. Pretty obvious.

I have 84,000,000 sP right now, which is basically my budget. So, what would you guys recommend I go for? I know what some of the "best" weapons and scrolls are, but with so many of them being so expensive, which ones are worth it, or are worth prioritizing?

Oh, one more thing, while I'm starting up a thread anyway - I've been stockpiling Shinwa quest rewards, mage amulets, and those coins and such. When would you guys suggest I start using those? I think I remember the old advice being, essentially, "wait as long as possible," but I'm not sure if that's changed, or what.

Arrow Harpoon possibly has better healing than most multiuse weapon if the pet is trained evenly in tier 7. It used to be really cheap too. Recycle Blaster can make opponent's weapon useless. Blunderbuss, Lightbulb Nunchucks and Forj Tempered Kusarigama are situational budget weapons that can be useful at times.

I used to focus on 1 type of icon to penetrate their defense like using Ice Rose, Frost Thorn and Frozen Ocean Curl. plus they have freezing chance too. but they are now very expensive, so might not worth getting. you may borrow from other users to see how they do in battle.

I use boosters when i'm close to next tier so i can use new weapons. other than that, i wait until later.

if you can survive your battles with the wand and trident then i would recommend that you just stick with those for now because there aren't that many amazing weapons that you must have in T7.

i don't believe any of those weapons are a freezer? 100% freezers are usually quite useful in most battles so you could invest in getting one. i think the cheapest one might be the since it is essentially "free" in the battle shop. you could use the acorn bomb on the opponent after freezing them too.

is another great investment because it will save you many times and is useful in later tiers as well.

also i highly recommend that you boost your pet's APs!

as for the boosters, imo it doesn't really matter when you use them. it just depends on if you want to increase your pet's stats a lot now or later. also, like right now there is an event, if there is an event challenger you can't beat but may be able to if you boost then you might want to boost now because the challengers will go away once the event is over.

the that recommended is good too. if you don't super need it yet then you can win your own from the recycle beast.

I can handle everything up through the Hard-tier opponents with the wand/trident combo, and half the time I don't even need to use the PQ. Everything in 'Very Hard' kicks my butt though...

I actually do have enough battle tokens for the Gorgun, went ahead and got that - thanks for the heads up there, I didn't realize I could afford it! When is the best time to use that, anyway? The wand has a... like 7% chance to freeze, but I've never used a 100% before.

I have been eyeing the reviver the last couple of days, so I'm glad to see that being backed up. Might go ahead and get that... Healing is always useful. I'm working on the APs, sort of, but I can see about putting more effort into that for sure.

I was thinking about hitting the boosters once I get T7, to see if I can make any more headway this year against all of the holiday opponents and such. I don't know if it would be enough to take out the next set of opponents from this event, so I'm not going to fuss about it too much until then, to get the most out of the EXP I'm earning.

I'll take a look at those and see what I can do! I definitely remember looking at the Kusarigama a while back, but I also remember it being really expensive at the time? But maybe it's gone down since then, or maybe I just have more sP. Either way, thanks!

i haven't fought them seriously in a while so idk what icon types they do but a general battling tip is to block their main icon types and if your attackers come with a heal then that's even better.

i believe most people use their 100% freezers on the first turn and with one of their attackers. if you can't survive that then you could try the freezer with a full blocker like rainbow vortex, shinwas temple shield or a semi blocker like Forj Tempered Shield. you could also use scrolls that block a lot too like cobalt eternal.

after freezing the opponent on the first turn, you could use a bomb and/or blaster if you want. it's better to use them when the opponent is frozen since they usually have no or not much defense to them.

the RotL was probably one of my best battling investments haha.

yeah that's the thing, if you don't use the boosters you won't know if you can beat the harder challengers or not lol!
