Any recommended upgrades would be appreciated, however I dont want to spend to much considering I have been going through tiers pretty quickly.

I have been told to get the Rainbow Vortex which I might start hoarding CSC to get from the cash shop. Right now I am basically using my Cursed Irion Chestplate and my multi healer and then using my freeze to set up my bomb plus weapon and phoenix quill to heal when required. I don't really use my stealer a whole lot right now although I am sure I will need a 100% stealer soon, which would you recommend.

Shrine of Apollonia is very cheap, the buff can be very helpful. Gorgun is 100% freezer, can be bought from battle shop. Gorgun is useful until later tiers. KT Ring is a cheap stealer. i still use it at tier 10. Crystal Ball of Fate is a cheap multiheal. STS is Rainbow Vortex alternative. too bad it is not available in crystal shop right now. could be cheaper to get.

you can also use bomb + healer strategy. Ruffie Healy Bones, Sparkling Quill, Gold Quill and Rainbow Quill for example is great when paired with bombs. Gold Quill and Rainbow Quill can be bought from battle shop. Explosive Dark Matter Die is kinda cheap bomb.

don't forget scroll. Singed Stuffing is a cheap healer. or go with Divine Denizhen for better protection.

I picked up the Shine of Apollina and the KT ring as well as the Divine Denizhen. I hit tier 4 today and managed to blow a way a few new opponents in the Battle challenge. I know the STS is a good alternative to Rainbow Vortex, however given the STS is very expensive right now and the rainbow vortex's prices is stable I think it might be the better route to just go for the rainbow vortex. I feel like the STS will likely go down in price when/if its rereleased somewhere at some point.

i think it get re-released once a year. i might be wrong. it is good to have both for boss fight from what i remember. anyway, tier 5 is where the fun begins. better save some money for tier 5.

I think both RV and STS are extremely overrated.

STS used to be practically free, and I think that popularized it a lot, but it has extremely limited actual applications now

The only time I really ever used 100% blockers was for the 1 month between when I could just start to beat curesed effigy the tormented, and when I could beat him easily.

You probably already made a decision a couple weeks ago when you first posted this, but thought I would chime in just in case.

Thanks for the information. I actually have not purchased either so maybe I will stop and re-evaluate my decision. I dont need to make any hastey decisions at this point given that I keep going from tier to tier I dont really want to be blowing to much on any given tier its probably wiser to wait for the upper tier weapons once I get there.
