I must be honest, I'm kinda bored from the Quest-A-Thone, I like the concept and how all of us are working together for a goal but I also see a reduce in the motivation, it got to point that the staff needs to bribe us with turning all the quests to weekend quests, this is why we barely won the last Quest-A-Thone..

So why not to make a change? we have a few games in the Arcade section here in Subeta and we can use them for something fun! I don't know how many users are playing the games on a daily basis, as for me, I play them only for the achievements, if they have and after I get them, I don't play anymore.. There are games that I don't even remember how to play..

So I would be happy to have something nice that would make me play them again, even for a short time.

What do you think? :)

I like this idea actually! I've burnt out on quest-a-thons since we had two this year that we almost didn't even clear.

Tbh one of the biggest takeaways from Peka-Boo for me was how much I dislike the games on Subeta. 😞

I don't want an incentive to play them because they aren't fun or good imo.

The thing is - the Arcade doesn't take SP or items away, it only generates some. At least, Quest-a-Thon is a decent restockable sink

For the economy, it would just spiral inflation further. That's a terrible thing, especially when we're this close to Black Friday.

We had this before, in the last EPICon uh? It was like hell having to play games I don't like 10 times a day... But hey if people like it, bring it on!

idk, if it were something like "play these games a few times" for something like the raffle that we had awhile back, I'd be on board, but I wouldn't want to play a certain game over and over again for a site event.

Perhaps it could be a mash up of games and something else so everyone has something they can do and maybe have a way that sP earned can be put back someplace else?

The problem with arcade games is that some of them have a bad effect on people. Burrero Basket Bonanza is one I've seen complaints about because it caused some players headaches.

Maybe there could be an event which combines quests (including Major Drills and Battle Quests) and playing games. People earn a point for each time they complete an activity.

I'm really bad at games here... and several are simply plain boring. I did few for achieves, easier ones, and that's done, I don't wanna go back. So unless such event would have really good prizes (like CSC-good, not just a pet slot, I have 2 free ones anyway) I don't see myself participating. Also, quests are really easy, they don't require much thinking or being skilled in handling mouse/keyboard. With games, especially if it would be "this and this game, mandatory, 50 repeats a day" and not "pick something yourself", you'd get lots of people with lots of reasons that prevent them from playing that particular thing. Imagine the amount of complaints then.

I would love this, as a way to change the routine a bit, but only if it was as accessible as quests. Include all games but collection and special cases like IH instead of only arcade and give a limit to how many times sending a score will contribute - could also be 10 to normal acc and 15 to gold - so people could participate with games like Seashell Spotter or Rock, Paper, Scissors.

TL;DR: make something casual where everyone can have fun.

Only if we don't have to play all of them to count as participated - I cannot play Cybill Sledding without feeling really sick and I would be sad if I miss out on a Pet slot because of not taking any risks in regards to my health...

Eh, maybe. Depends on how it was formatted. There are some games I'd rather cut my arm off than play, and events are supposed to be fun. Regardless, I hope it's a long time until he have another 'a-thon' of any kind. They were fun in the beginning, but they've become really overused in the last year (probably because, from the staff's point of view, they're a low-effort event that doesn't require any new content).

On one hand, I wouldn't mind mixing up the quest-a-thon a bit. On the other hand... I remember how "fun" EpiCon was. ._.

I don't want to feel pressured into playing games I don't enjoy at all. Some of which make me very badly sick (Cybil Sledding) and others are just poorly programmed and are infuriating to play (Spectrail, Bug Catching). Not everyone has good hand-eye coordination and people with touchscreens are at a very slight advantage in the case of some games compared to people on computers, especially people on older computers.

tl;dr - no, sorry.
