i'm looking to start taking commissions on here but it's been many years since i last did and therefore have no idea what the accurate conversion rates are let alone what i should price my art at. USD is set in stone, but i need help with the conversion rate for sP and CSC just for a general idea of where my prices need to hover for those.
if i can get some help pricing these following commission types i'd be super grateful! I've added what i generally price them in USD to help those who know the conversion get a general idea. [small]also i would just post all the pictures here but that requires me to go resize all the big ones and link them properly. so some will be linked while others i'll just post. sorry![/small] thanks in advance for any help. <3

Generally, the most easiest is 1$-1 credit So 10.00 in USD= 1000 credits, 20=2000, etc.
As for sp pricing, 20.00=2000 CSC=200 million sp.
ah thank you so much for the conversion help!
i can't price my art based on cash prices, clearly. i have no clue at all how much sP/CSC to charge for any of the commission types i was considering selling.
would it be more helpful to just test the waters and put up a thread offering one type and see how that goes? o:
Actually, you probably could, just convert your current USD cash pricing to csc and sp. A lot of the artists on site that sell both USD and csc/sp usually just convert their USD to current CSC and sp prices usually when selling their artwork for sp.
As for testing the waters, I'd say go ahead and do it, just remember to read through the art market rules.
Generally, it's 1 type of buying/selling topic per every three pages( once it reaches the third page you can request to have it locked) so, if you want to offer more types and it's still on the first page just edit the original OP. ( This is me just being the moderator of the art market since I'm also the mini-mod for the art forums, albeit not this one though. XD)
honestly i just don't expect anyone to actually buy my art if i price it by converting directly from how much it costs in cash? i suppose i can give it a shot and see if it's worth that much to anyone. o:
also already read up on all the rules because i'm actually paranoid about doing something wrong/accidentally breaking a rule. LOL if i decide to sell more than one type i'll be editing my original post as well.
thanks so much for yer help! ;u;
I've seen similar art sell for about 10-20 USD depending on complexity and type( sketch, flat, shaded) so you could try that as a low end selling price and see how it works?
Generally, the more complicated and more complex the artwork the higher the selling price though the highest I've seen on art market pricing was usually in the 40-50 USD range and that was for really detailed artwork.
But as for CSC to sp pricing, you could also just look up the price of csc gift cards and that gives you a general rule for pricing.
Right now, a 100 credit gift card is about 12 million sp rounded up in shop search.
i came in assuming i'd have to adjust so conversion wasn't exact since that usually doesn't really work out too well on other sites. i was thinking of offering quickies at first and seeing how that went, so i can try the 1-1 with that and lower if need be and test that instead. hopefully it works out. i'm pretty excited to do commissions here!
i'm gonna offer all three currencies so at least there's options as well. o:
you've seriously been a huge help and singlehandedly assisted me in exactly what i needed. thank you again! c:
