I'm not very good at picking out weapons, or even using them correctly half the time. I just made it to t10 and I feel like something needs upgrading. Any advice for me? :P Thank you in advance!

Tier 10 is where you start getting access to the semi-godlies. It all depends how much you want to spend at this point. Opponents will deal more and more damage, so you're looking for weapons that block this damage, preferrably have a % heal on them, and deal quite a lot of damage themselves. Most weapons only block one or two icons, so you'll want to start collecting an arsenal of weapons to cover every icon. Depending on the opponent you're facing, you swap out weapons. You Item Defenders Shield will become less useful, since it only has a defense, and no heal or attack. Moreover, its block is very spread out, and will not be very effective against opponents which deal huge amounts of damage in one or two icons. The Deadwood Scissorbeak is a pretty nice tier 9 weapon, but also suffers from the lack of healing on it. The Bludgeon of Mass Extinction has a 5% heal, which is pretty low, and you can try to replace it with a weapon with a bit more healing. Which one to replace first might be dependent on the opponent you're trying to defeat. So I wouldn't throw them in the garbage bin right away. It's nice to have some diversity in your armory. The Rapier of Error has a huge attack, but no defense and no healing. However, it has a pretty high chance to freeze and a nice curse. So I used this one in the default battle set for my tier 13 pet to use once in a while when I felt I had enough hp to neglect defense and healing a bit for one turn, to try and get a freeze off and to get some extra damage with the curse. So in the higher tiers, it becomes more of a situational weapon.
The is one I recommend getting. It blocks ice and magma, two icons for which there are not a lot of options. It has a 9% heal and a pretty good attack. I use this in the default set of my tier 10 pet. The is a semi godly that blocks light. You can get it from an achievement for having a pet with 22000 total stats. This is a while off, so you can decide to wait it out, or to buy it and sell the extra one you will get later. You can also put it off for a while, since your large gutting knife also defends against light. Maybe in the future there will be other weapons released too. I'd wait a bit on this one, unless you think you really need it to defeat some event challenger for which there is a limited amount of time (then it might be easier to borrow the weapon). The blocks fire. It's a personal preference whether you like the bow more, or Natasha. Anyway, you can't use the Natasha yet, so it's not an option for now. I have to say that due to the limited availability of the Possessed Bow, its price might be a little high. Currently I see a few in trades for 600 million, while the Natasha is 800 million. So it's best to think for yourself whether you want the Possessed Bow now, or rather save up for Natasha later. The Prodigy Staff can be a cheaper alternative. It scales a bit with your pet, and blocks a reasonable amount of fire damage, although it's a little bit unreliable since its block varies. The are available in the Millionaire Center, and blocks earth. Earth is a pretty useful icon to block. I'd say it's a good investment but if you have a Replica Minotaur Knocker laying around, you can also put this one off a bit. The Hook Swords are definitely much better than the Minotaur knocker, but the knocker will get the job done for now. The is a scaling weapon that blocks wind. It's a semi-godly in the higher tiers. At tier 11 the Swashbuckle is an alternative. I still prefer to use the Trident sometimes because it has a rather nice blessing that blocks some more icons. It's pretty nice, but also pretty expensive. Since you're already tier 10, maybe the Swashbuckle is cheaper (unless you have a legion of smaller battle pets , then the Trident is still very useful). The is not a semi-godly, but does ok in blocking physical icons.
Your The One Ring is ok, but will get less useful as you gain more stats. Its 1000hp fixed heal gets outhealed by the 90% heal of the .
I just noticed you don't have a 100% freezer in your set yet. The is pretty good for its price. But if you'd rather not spend any SP, you can also get the using battle tokens. Buy the various components and use the loot from Aboxalypse in the Genetech lab to combine into new weapons. The Intricate Energized Helmet (tier 9) and later on the Volatile Energized Mecha (tier 11) are pretty nice! Ofcourse you can use the Gorgun too, but the Scientist Specs and helmet are a lot better, and they are practically free.
Other things to look into are the 100% blockers. They're not required, but nice to have. Might be a bit expensive now after the Gelatin War. Look for and .
Blasters are very useful. They can turn one of your opponents weapons into a useless piece that deals 0-1 icons of damage. Is an opponent annoying you by healing 10% of its hp every turn? Try to blast the healer, and you'll have a much easier fight! Don't have the weapons to block that nasty water damage? No problem, just blast them away :D Blasters can make a huge difference in battle. The Recycle Blaster is one of the cheaper blasters, so I'd recommend adding it to your set. The are an improved version, so they're something to save up for. You can even combine the Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets in one set so you can blast two of your opponents weapons.
Ok, so usually in a set you will have two infinite use weapons, a 100% freezer, the Phoenix Quill and one blaster. Depending on the fight, you can add in another blaster, another healer (Reviver of the Lion or The One Ring), 1-2 100% blockers, the Rapier of Error, or a bomb to make things go faster. If you're facing an opponent that loves to steal, it might be better to remove the healers from your set and add more attackers. You don't want to lose because your opponent stole the Phoenix Quill and used it the turn before you were going to deal the finishing blow. And you don't want to run out of weapons to deal damage with. You can change your weapon set around to have the most optimal set up for the opponent you're facing. A default set would probably look something like this: Then you can add in another healer, another blaster, a 100% blocker, the Rapier of Error or a bomb. Whatever you fancy :) I guess most people will run with two healers.
My own default set for my tier 10 pet looks like this: If needed, I swap out one of the blockers for the Recycle Blaster, or the Rapier of Error for the Reviver of the Lion.
I'll look into scrolls later. I'm running a bit short on time now!
What is your budget for weapons? Impossible and extremely hard challengers deal a lot of damage per icon type so the best thing is to have a variety of weapons that offer a lot block of one or more icons, heal and attack. I will give recommendations by icon type based on a budget set and the best options for T10:
incoming wall of weapons per element
wind
budget: - best stats are 5% heal and 50 wind block. With your stats it will have 40 wind block and 4% heal. It also boosts your pet for 25 speed with each use
75 wind block but no heal. It does however have a chance to activate a blessing that will block 4 of every icon in addition to 75 wind and heal your pet for 1,000 for 3 turns.
best option: - 90 wind block, has a curse, a blessing that will block 175 each of water/earth/magma in addition to 90 wind and it is a scaling weapon like the featherweight axe so any pet T8+ can use it. The only downside to it really is it has a 7% heal, but that is still more than any of the budget options.
water
budget: - another scaling weapon. This one scales with speed so at your current stats it will only heal for 75HP and has a 5% chance to freeze. It will block 6-7 water and ice. The best stats are at 5k speed when it blocks 35 water/ice, has a max heal of 600 hp and 13% chance to freeze
- T7 but offers 60 water block. Has no heal - T8, blocks 60 water, has a chance to freeze your opponent but no heal. pretty solid T9 weapon with a small water/ice block and 8% heal. Found in the battle shop
best option: blocks 35 each of water and light, 9% heal and offers a curse. This was a plot prize and is super rare to find
earth
budget: - earth block varies with stats as does the heal and attack. The best it will ever do (T12) is 30 OR 90 earth, 6-9% heal
75 earth block but no heal
best option: - 90 earth, 9% heal and activates a blessing that protects you from stealing/blocks 6 light and dark icons/50 additional heal
fire
budget: the fire block is unreliable but it does offer 7-10% heal your bludgeon of mass extinction is another option with low fire/water block
best option: small chance to freeze. Small chance to activate a bomb curse that does 100 dark. blocks 90 fire 6-9% heal
magma
budget: unfortunately doesn't have a heal until T11 but will block 6-10 magma and 6-10 dark. 75 magma block. No heal, but she does have a blessing that will give you a small heal for 3 turns - solid T9 weapon with a small physical and magma block. 7-9% heal and also found in the battle shop
best option: blocks 40 each of magma and ice. 9% heal and has a curse
ice
budget: pretty solid T9 weapon with a small water/ice block and 8% heal. Found in the battle shop - blocks 10,15, or 75 ice. 5-9% heal - another scaling weapon. This one scales with speed so at your current stats it will only heal for 75HP and has a 5% chance to freeze. It will block 6-7 water and ice. The best stats are at 5k speed when it blocks 35 water/ice, has a max heal of 600 hp and 13% chance to freeze - 5 or 7 or 10 or 15 or 60 Ice block and 7 Water block. Small chance to freeze but no heal. I prefer the flail over the rapier but you need the speed stat to really bring out the flail's potential.
best option: blocks 40 each of magma and ice. 9% heal and has a curse
dark
budget: unfortunately doesn't have a heal until T11 but will block 6-10 magma and 6-10 dark. - scales with your pet's defense. It has a 4-8% heal and blocks 35 dark but ONLY when your pet is above 2,500 defense. This is another scaling weapon. I think at your stats it will block something like 15 - 20 dark but no heal.
best option: Not many options here. The only weapon that has a high dark black at this tier is which is T9, but blocks 75 dark. This weapon only has a heal when you are fighting gelatins.
physical
budget: - solid T9 weapon with a small physical and magma block. 7-9% heal and also found in the battle shop
best option: the only really good option is but the good news is it is also very affordable! It blocks 15 or 20 physical and does 5-8% heal. It is a very nice T10 intro weapon that can be useful even at T11 if you can't afford or
[edit]
Other options:
- can be an option for water block when you have 3,000 - 3,999 strength. This weapon changes its block depending on yours stats.
- blocks 4 of every icon and has a 10% heal. Old style of weapon to battle width, but could prove useful with other weapons
- can be made in the battle shop. 100% freeze and grants you protection from freezing for two turns.
- can be used in place of the helmet. Boosts defense and attack by 50. It also has an attack on it. I would say the specs are better than the intricate helmet only when an enemy disables blessings. - heals you for 90% of your total health and doesn't take up a healer spot so it can be used with your phoenix quill - always useful to blast an enemy's weapon so they have a chance of using junk - another blaster that can be used wit the recycle blaster. It is classified as a stealer since there is a small chance it will steal your opponent's weapon but also has a small chance to freeze. It will also always activate a random blessing or curse.
Thank you so much for the suggestions!
I do have the scientist specs, the flail and the plague claw. I'll have to get the other things one at a time... I'm hoping to come across a shinwas temple shard and a deluxe death shard... also the amulet of neutrality. Things are WL'ed and I have 200m right now, but I really need to save some for my contests this holiday season lol.

I would save up for the weapons and buy those first before the temple shard. The temple shard is only one per battle where the weapon is infinite use. OPB blockers also become less critical at tiers 11 and 12. Sometimes you want to fill that slot with another weapon or something like instead that has a longer lasting effect in battle.
I would not buy the death shard. The scientist specs and energized helmet are also 100% freezers and are cheaper. The helmet is also infinitely better against opponents that freeze when blessings are enabled.
any ideas on scrolls? should I do the ones from genetech?

Scrolls are a little bit subjective and dependent on your weapon set. You have defensive scrolls, stealing scrolls, freezing scrolls, healing scrolls and infinite use scrolls. Infinite use scrolls are extremely useful when you run out of OPB scrolls or when you want to add more heal per attack. The best infinite use scrolls imo, are ones that offer some block, % heal and some attack. Scrolls like weapons can also be super expensive so I will again give the best options and budget options:
The best infinite use scrolls are
Followed by
And if all those are too expensive, there are these
freezing scrolls:
best options: -85% chance freeze, -3% heal, no attack, 75 wind block - some attack, -3% heal, 75% chance freeze, 75 ice block - strong stomp is really only good when you have around 6,600 HP since it is a flat rate -200 HP. It also has some attack and a small defense (10 dark)
budget option: - I like this scroll a lot because it does 10 water, blocks 75 fire and has a small chance to freeze
- infinite use scroll, 8% chance to freeze, small defense of earth/ice/wind, 20-27 attack - my favorite infinite freezer. This is also driven by the speed stat, but at it's best it will give you the biggest % chance to freeze for an infinite use freezing scroll. It will also heal your pet when you are below 50% health. At your current speed level,
- 299 HP, moderate chance to freeze, 37 - 40 attack. The price is starting to go back up on this scroll however since it is no longer available in the battle shop.
healing scrolls
best options: - heals you for 1500 HP - heals you for 500 HP, blocks 75 dark and does 50 light damage
budget option: Unfortunately, there really is no cheap option for healing scrolls. - heals your pet for 300 HP and does 40 light damage, but is still going for around 53 mil. It is still cheaper than buying the other two scrolls.
defensive scrolls
these are both very good scrolls that will block a lot of different icons. They don't do damage or heal, but they have the potential to block 75 of multiple icons.
- guaranteed to block 75 of all icons, does 30-40 dark damage and also has a moderate chance to freeze. This one is a lot more expensive than cobalt and sancturia and it also costs 50 AP to equip just one. Unless your pet has a lot of AP, make a few sancturia exodin scrolls and buying a few cobalt eternal scrolls is a much better option. Once you can beat prodigy 5 times however, you should by then have enough AP to equip at least one of these scrolls along with other scrolls.
A majority of impossible challengers have stealing disabled so I don't use an stealing scrolls and cannot make a good recommendation for them.
awesome thank you!

I agree with on the scrolls. That's a pretty thourough overview!
I'd like to add that I wouldn't go for Morosbane for a tier 10 pet. The 300 hp heal is kind of low compared to what infinite use % healing scrolls will provide to pets with larger amounts of HP. At the moment, a % healing scroll will heal around half of what the Morosbane will heal for, but you're probably better off spending your SP (and AP) on an infinite use scroll, freezing scrolls and blocking scrolls. I usually recommend Morosbane for pets around 300-1000hp, since the healing is quite a high compared to their total HP.
You have a Death Delusion Scroll. I don't remember the exact stats, but I think it's pretty nice for an infinite use attacking scroll. It has a small chance to freeze as well. Normally, you don't use this one because a scroll with healing on it is preferred. But in case of challengers with healing disabled, it becomes an interesting option. You'd need to check whether the damage it deals is less than for example the Aftershocks scroll, because then you might prefer the increased damage from an Aftershocks over the small freezing chance of the Death Delusion.
Another fun (though maybe somewhat unreliable) scroll is the . It has a small attack, small defense, -3(!) to 10% healing, and a small chance to freeze. It's a bit of a gamble, since you have a chance on a negative heal. It's a bit cheaper than the other infinite use healing scrolls, so can serve as a temporary option.
